I would have to say I'm friendly, show respect to clients, I care a smile all the time. I am a caregiver by heart. Watching the joy I give working with clients. My most achievement was when I worked with a young lady with Autism for many years sometime ago. I taught her how to do a few things that I thought would be good for her to know how to do on her own.

There are many reason's that I have become a caregiver. One major reason is because I love helping and taking care of people. I believe caregiving is one of the most rewarding jobs out in the work force. You learn so many new things about not just people but daily living everyday. You realize how different people are and the different needs that need to be meet for certain people. You also learn what unconditional love is. When you start doing a job like caregiving the person you are providing care for soon become like family. You usually spend a majority of time caring for them and there personal need you start sharing many different things. I also really enjoy listening to all the stories and adventures my recipients have been on. I am a very compassionate and loving person. I always put others needs before myself and like to make sure that there well taken care of. I am also very professional and responsible.

I earned my CNA license in High school and worked in geriatrics from 2002-2012. I had two girls and stayed home with them, and now I'm hoping to work in health care again. I have cared for hundreds of people in the skilled nursing facilities I've worked in. I have also given in home care for an elderly couple and for my friend's grandmother. I love caring for elderly people and younger people with debilitating diseases. I love hearing stories of their life. The most notable one was a holocaust survivor. I care about the people I care for and like to be a part of their life. The achievement I'm most proud of was healing a terrible, stage four decubitus ulcer, that went all the way to the resident's bone. I can say, happily, that we were able to rehabilitate many people so they could go home.

I am an easygoing and friendly person. I have been married for 29years. I have 5 children. My youngest is now 17. I have always been a caregiver. I helped raise 4 younger siblings and later 2 stepdaughters. As time went on, I helped care for my grandmother with Alzheimer's. Following this I helped care for an Uncle with pancreatic cancer and one with diabetes and a history of strokes. Amidst all of this I also worked for an agency for a year. It was during this year that I became aware of 2 types of caregivers. The ones in it for a pay check who gave the bare minimum and those who were passionate about providing top level care with dignity and respect. I am the person who provides top level care with dignity and respect. Feeling this way inspired me to venture out and start my own business. Through my experiences I have gained valuable knowledge about many disease processes as well as end of life care. I absolutely love providing care so that people can remain at home for as long as possible. I treat all of my clients as if they were family. I can provide excellent references if requested.
