I have been in home care for 16 years and a RA for a year I am looking for something in the morning till 4 o'clock on Certain days certain days I can stay later my son's in his first year of high school and he is a football player so I want to be at all of his games I'm hoping somebody can go by my schedule least meet in the middle I can be there for your schedule will be there for my schedule I will let you know the time a couple days ahead of time on the games and practice

It all Started when I was very young, I was 5 and Started To realize my mom's balance wasnt like the other kids mom's. It was just my mom and I, so I instinctively helped her as much as a 5 year old could. As I got older she got worse, and I could help more. That's exactly what I did. She ended up being misdiagnosed with polyneuropathy in the mid 90s. She got worse over the years, and eventually could not walk at all. In 2008-09 we found out she had a tumor growing all throughout her spinal cord. which was in fact the cause of why she was losing and eventually lost the ability to walk at all. She can't feel her legs and feet, or anything below the belly button. She ended up getting bed sores, so I change her wound dressings daily, and a nurse comes one day a week. She takes pictures of her progress. I have experienced with the wound vac, and right now we just use silver nitrate and barrier cream, and flip her on her sides for two hours. This is the second time she's had these sores so they won't ever heal fully. I used to get paid by seiu (doors) to be her caregiver but they cut her off for her assets. So I still take care of her and do everything the same 7 days a week any way. I am fully qualified, I run arrends, prepare meals, clean, so laundry, bathe her and just tend to her needs.

What makes me a great care giver is that it's not just a job you come to and work and leave. These people are humans that need companionship as well as love. They are not just a human job they have a life to and they just need help and deserve someone with a kind loving heart that will become like family to them someone they can trust with their belonging and there self being. Someone who is on time, respectful and caring is the number one key. To not be lazy and just come and sit down like it's free money when these people need help caring for them selves

What attracted me is that I enjoy taking care of residents, knowing I cam help put a smile on their face & make sure they are happy & comfortable! What I most enjoy is all the stories they tell me! I am a greaf caregiver because I always make sure things are done how they are wanted per residents & also make sure they are happy & relaxed! I am a mother myself & very proud of it! I would like to move up in the medical field to tend to my family!
