Hello, I pray you're reading about me while all is well. You may see that I did not include a particular school of training. This is because all of my experience is hands on, from the private care of my own grandmother to the private care of others and then that as a caregiver for Home Instead Senior Care. I am a chef by trade, but I have a passion for & love the elderly and mentally disabled. When you have a natural passion for something you excel at it. This is what makes me a wonderful caregiver. I'm always willing to put in any extra time needed to learn new things. I love spending time with the elderly & mentally disabled, & I treat them as I would my own family. I understand that it is not always easy to have someone come into your home to help you do things you've been used to doing on your own. I treat every client of mine with the dignity & respect they deserve and am always willing to go above and beyond to make sure they are cared for. I enjoy listening to their stories, preparing nostalgic meals, & being a motivation & encouragement in any way that I can. Please dont hesitate to ask me anything that may be of a concern when it comes to your loved one. I am very transparent, loyal, honest and patient, and would love to be of any help that I can be. I grew up with a huge family, my mother was a Foster care provider, my dad was a Chief Fireman, I am the youngest of 8children, I grew up watching my mom take care of handicapped children my entire life, I always loved seeing how happy it made her to be able to help someone, even if it were just by giving that child love, I've grown to follow her footsteps and I just love being able to help someone if I can, even if can't make them better health wise, I can help them feel better emotionally, everyone deserves the BEST CARE POSSIBLE, that's why I love doing this job! I'm experienced in all aspects of Nursing, I've done pretty much everything expected, I am Certified in Nursing, I'm in school for Phlebotomy, I worked 15yrs in Dementia Care, as well as Alzheimers. I'm very fun to be around and love the new experiences with each client.

I have a wonderful personality, I'm a very loving person I've been working as an aide for 9 years. I started working in group homes and I loved it then started doing private care. I love being able to keep someone in there home.

I became a caregiver after caring for my grandmother after she fell ill. I love being able to help people. I love making others happy and making a difference in the lives of others. I became a caregiver simply because its what is in my heart. I have a passion for helping those who cannot help theirself. If I can put a smile on my residents face or make them laugh, it puts such happiness in my heart. I also became caregiver cause I know all to well how it is to lose loved ones. I love the one on one time that I get to spend with a resident, it also allows me to understand where they are coming from and what their level of need is, due to not all needs being met are physical. The personal achievements that I am proud of are raising money for kids suffering with cancer and becoming a certified nursing assistant. I am a caring person with a lot of understanding and empathy. I really enjoy seeing people get better. I have watched people bounce back from being very ill and near passing. I also know that, that is not always the case. I've worked in Health care for over 15 years. Started in nursing homes at the age of 16. Have worked as a live in caregiver for persons with disabilities , also worked in hospitals and have been doing private duty for the past 4 years. I became a CNA because I find absolute joy in helping others. There is nothing better than restoring one's dignity and helping them stay in the comfort of their own homes. I love the difference I can make by just simply doing my job. I personally couldn't see myself doing anything other than this. Just to tell you a little about myself; My name is Nicole and I am 28 years old. I have a wonderful Husband and together we have an amazing 3 year old little girl. I graduated in 2009 from Genesis Healthcare Institute in Bolingbrook, IL. I majored in Patient Care Technician (PCT) with a great emphasis put on Alzheimer's and Dementia care. I also received my Phlebotomy Technician certification and my EKG Technician Certification. Not to mention my CPR/BLS certification as well. I completed one clinical rotation at a nursing home in Bolingbrook. I worked for a Home Care Agency for 2 years before I began to stay home with my Daughter. I currently am employed as a Radiology Assistant at my local hospital but I am not getting the hours I need and I truly miss home care. So I am ideally looking for a long term position with a great Client!
