After a massive Corporate downsizing, I have changed careers and turned to the Healthcare field. I have over 30 years experience taking care of family and clients, ranging from neonatal, special needs including quadriplegia, to hospice care. The last 20 years have also included dementia/stroke, oxygen, TPN, feeding tubes and post operative care. In addition, I have also been asked by 2 clients to become their personal assistant. This included travel to the grocery store, doctor appointments, downsizing homes, moving packing and unpacking, traveling across country and also property managed my clients home while it was on the market to sell. Hello, my name is Alexandra . I have been a caregiver for over 15 years . Most of my clients have been private. I would like to say that every client along with their family members have been amazing and have welcomed me in their home as one of their own. If I had to explain what my clients and family members think about me it would be that I go above and beyond for their loved ones. I knew I wanted to be a caregiver since childhood. My biggest accomplishment would be graduating from the nursing program while working full time with very young children.

Am Victoria by name. Am a mother of 3 wonderful children. Happily married. Am an African from Nigeria to be precise. I have been a caregiver for 7 yrs, and in college, hoping to be a Registered nurse. I am a positive person that just loves happiness, and, always wants people around me to be happy no matter what they are going through. Am not a perfect being, but I do try my possible best to make sure my clients are ok! I love everybody equally, no matter the race they are from. Am a real believer in the WORD(( The Bible) that believes all human beings are one! Am a very friendly person that loves to meet different people from different cultures. I love dancing and singing a lot. Am open to corrections because I believe it helps in modifying somethings unknown to me. I have cared for seniors all my life. I love them so much. Yeah we all can ever be the same but I have been given the grace to be able to handle and work with some seniors that are a bit difficult, but at the end of it all, we all became friends and family. Am a very emotional person that feels whatever my clients are feeling also., and just love to be sure that, my clients are ok anytime any day! Caring has been my passion since I was little as my parents told me. I love my job as a caregiver simply because it's my passion to care!!! I have many seniors that are still alive but still want me to care for them just because of our relationship, but because of my schooling, and areas they are,won't just allow me to do that, but I still connect with them on phones. Taking care of seniors is a privilege for me because it makes me remember that, one day, am gonna be like them and this makes me want to care for them, better than anyone! Being a senior isn't a sin but a blessing!!! The most reason why all seniors need a good caregiver like me!

I am a newly Registered Nurse who has solid communication skills for a variety of patients. I am extremely flexible, express empathy, compassion and attention to detail in many different situations. I have four years of CNA experience, CPR certified and PEARS certified (pediatric life support). I was attracted to being a caregiver after caring for my own family members and felt the need to help more people in my community. I finished my schooling in Peoria IL, at Methodist College and completed my internship in the ICU at Methodist Hospital.

I have been taking care of people for 11 years and enjoy the time I get to spend with them. Their wisdom and stories always intrigue me. I worked for a Healthcare for four years providing help with activities of daily living. Most recently I have been caring for a 94 years young Alzheimer patient and have been with her for 4 years now in Geneva, Illinois. I provide companionship and home care for her. She needs grooming and meal preparations, as well as medication management. I also take care of a woman in her 93 years young with dementia. I provide the same to her as well. I have a Parkinson patient whom is 82 years old. In Dekalb Illinois. She is total care and is need of everything done for her. I also cared for a cancer patient for 2 1/2 years. I lost him in October of 2010. He wasn't just my employer but became a part of my family. I hope to be a part of someone else's soon. I am hoping to be moving to Raleigh NC in the next six months to find new opportunities and adventures with my daughter and fiance. Hope to talk with new families soon

I decided to work get my CNA certification after visiting my Grandma in a nursing home, I knew I wanted to help other elderly men and women with their Activities of daily living I wanted to show them I cared. I enjoy listening to their life stories and all the changes they have seen and lived through.I like to share these stories with other people and children as things come up in a conversation. I have learned many new things from working with Seniors and I have used many of their ideas in my life from cooking to raising children and house cleaning ideas. I am currently enrolled in a community college I plan on studying Phlebotomy, I have always taken courses over the years in continuing education and prerequisites to AAS.

I became a caregiver after caring for my grandmother after she fell ill. I love being able to help people. I love making others happy and making a difference in the lives of others. This is what I enjoy doing. I am proud of the fact I change peoples lives everyday. I have been a CNA for 7 years and have worked in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, and now corrections. I have worked with residents with dementia and alzheimers. I absolutely loved it!

I am very compassionate about seniors and love helping them so they can stay in their homes longer. I am very patient and have nine years of experience in this field. I started out working as a Caregiver because I've always been a Caregiver in some way or another and quickly realized how much I enjoy working with seniors and how patient I am with them. I know that some days I will be the only face they see so I want to make them smile and make it count. The thing I most enjoy is seeing how happy I make them and knowing not only that they need help but that I am the one who is able to help them. I find this job very rewarding in that aspect. I have had so many clients tell me how it takes a special person to do this job, that I'm definitely one of those people and to never give it up because a lot of people need me. Just hearing those words make me realize I'm doing the right thing and that makes me proud.
