Such duties also performed included completing laundry errands cooking house cleaning transfer from the bed to the wheelchair shower bed bath grooming. Companionship combined with hospice, and cancer respite care.

Good day, my name is Kenyatta Davis. I am a mother of 7 children, one of who has special needs. She became dependent at the age of 7, she had a tramatic brain injury. I have experience in trach care, g-tube feedings, personal hygiene, administering medication, senior care, and more. I am currently a home health aide, and caregiver for 2 home health care companies.

One of the reasons that makes me who I am as a caregiver is the compassion that I have in my heart for my clients and their families. I am a person of integrity, honesty, dependability and concern. It's about giving of myself to my clients and having a sense of the quality of life concerning the lifestyle they have. When I come into their presence a smile comes on their face. I will show the passion, give the encouragement, and hope they will have the confidence that I will know exactly what to do concerning their plan of care. I became a caregiver because of my mother's influence. Listening to her talk about her clients was interesting and heart warming and sometimes I felt sad and wanted to help, so I did! The rewards of being a caregiver is caring for those who cannot care for themselves or just needing a little help. Always understanding what care consists of at all times regardless of the situations and circumstances whether it's to assist or just HELP. I love what I do as a caregiver because I have a compassionate heart.

Being patient,loving, caring, compassionate, and highly experienced make me a good caregiver. This is what I have been doing before I came to this country. Out of 6 siblings, I was the only one taking care of my Mom with the assistance of my daughter who is now a medical doctor and now in the university pursuing her masters degree in public health here in the U.S. I feel so much comfortable taking of people either young or old. It is my joy to contribute positively to general care of elderly people. I personally relate very well with my client and their families, that most of them treat me like members of their families. I still have contact with most of the families I have worked for. They sometimes take me out for my birthdays celebrations , some calls on my birthdays, some sends messages on my birthdays. I think this a great achievement, because if I did not do good jobs for them, they will not remember me to give me such wonderful honors.

I became a caregiver because of my parents in need of care...During a 36+year period I have worked as a caregiver/home-care aide also assisted caring for my parents until they departed. I was taught to honor thy mother/ father and respect others at a young age... I have completed and passed a C.N.A. course 19+years ago and have worked in nursing homes,skilled facilities and rehab centers as a rehab assistant for quite sometime now...What I do in making a difference in helping others has always been a joyous experience. I have been a caregiver for over 17 years. I most certainly love what I do. What makes me a great caregiver is that i am very patient, gentle and sensitive to the needs of my clients. I am very caring and compassionate and that is what has drawn me to become a caregiver because people need care and they most definitely need to be shown compassion.
