I have spent 27 years as a caregiver. I am a special education teacher and have taught/taken care of infants, preschoolers, K-12 and most recently my elderly father who was very frail with Dementia. I took him out of a full time care facility in CA to have him live with us on our farm here in KY. His favorite thing to do was to help feed the animals or socialize our animal babies. I thrive when taking care of others and I absolutely loved taking care of my dad, even though he wasn't necessarily the same dad that I knew growing up. He was very vulnerable and self conscious about his difficulties and I did everything I could to make him feel like we needed him here to help on the farm.

Hello, I've been a caregiver for about 10 years now. I love what I do, I've worked with clients who were mentally ill & physically ill. Young adults to elderly even children. I don't mind helping out around the house or running errands for you.

I love the work I do as a caregiver! I have been married for 6 years and my life couldn't be happier. I first became a CNA when I was 17. The DON said I had the heart of a caregiver which cannot be taught. This has stuck with me throughout my healthcare career. Compassion seems to be a lost art these days. I am rare in that I have vast experience as both a CNA and caregiver, and that I have patience, compassion, and passion to provide the best care possible to my clients. I bring with me my heart, honesty, dependability, and years of hands-on direct care experience.

I Became a caregiver because I love to care for and take care of people. Also It feels good knowing that they really appreciate what you do for them. Also the sole reason I became caregiver is because I grew up around my aunt who had c/p and could never walk. I always admired her caregivers and after she passed it really gave me the motivation to help others as my aunt was. also my proudest achievement so far is coming from a rough situation and working to pay for my CNA certification and now also getting ready to enroll In nursing school!! I am a very caring loving person. I love nature and love being around people and learning new things. Also I have a 2 year old daughter to care for other then work or school she is who I spend most time with. I love the emotional connection you make with your patients. the way I see it is it is not about the money it is about the experience and making a connection with someone. I became a caregiver because I have always been great with people no matter the age. I love to help people and assistant them, it is rewarding to me even though sometimes people do not appreciate it. I have recently completed a semester of school with two babies at home and made decent grades in continuing my education for my psychology and criminology degree. I am 24 years old, I am married to a Marine veteran. I have 3 kids, two girls and a boy. I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant for a little over four years and I love it!
