My name is Lindsay I've been a caregiver for over 2 years I've worked in many nursing homes and even hospitals. The love for caregiving has always been a passion of mine I love to make people smile and help where its a bit harder. I always make great food for my clients and I also do arts and crafts that I supply myself! My great grandma has many health conditions and I help here often. I also have a niece and nephew with autism who I do my own therapy with that helps them both tremendously. The thing I enjoy the most about what I do is the knowledge I obtain from my elderly clients and also making everything a bit easier leaving them with a smile and good company.

I had the best example.. my grandmother has been taking care of elderly in her home for over 40 years so she taught me everything that I needed to do this job I feel like God gave me this calling. I am a great caregiver because I don't treat caring for patients as a job. My goal is make my families feel as if I'm one of them. I am very caring and passionate, as well as understanding. I build a personal bond that allows the family and their loved one to feel safe and secure in my care. I decided being a caregiver was my calling once my grandmother became ill with brain cancer and I was responsible for her during the days. Although she was my granny, caring for her allowed me to see life differently, love her even more, and build a bond way different from just that of being her granddaughter. Duties can include taking vital signs, assisting residents to move about the home or facility, helping them manage their meals and use bathroom facilities, transferring, turning, lifting or positioning bedridden patients, offering emotional support, rehabilitative exercises, bathing, grooming, feeding, and all other aspects of care as allowed by state laws and regulations.
