I became a caregiver over 20 Years ago, I started off as a CNA ! I have a special gift of being patient and non judgmental and Im very big hearted. I feel as if its my calling in life to offer personal care to people.I have experience with many different aspects in the medical field,I've worked from nursing homes,to assisted living homes for the elderly.I've also worked in a brain rehab center were from children to elderly adults have sustained brain injuries from birth defects to car accidents. I also have worked at a hospital in the nursery an women's med surge unit. I also have done private pay sitting in peoples homes, also I once worked for a Hospice home health company caring for the terminally I'll in their homes, My favorite job was working for a PCA & Respite company were I sat with medically fragile children in their homes.I also have experience as a In home child care provider for 13 consecutive years and most recently I'm back caring for people who need assistance with daily living needs such as light house keeping,cooking an preparing meals, personal hygeine and are incontinent care, medicines giving and any to all medical an non medical assistance a person could need help with. I am current in infant,child an adult CPR & First aid training!

I became a caregiver after Covid began in 2020 and I was laid off from the law office I was working at due to it being closed to the public. I found a job working as a home health aid and caregiver and within a week I had a full time schedule of regular clients. A few of whom remained my clients during the entire duration of my employment there. I was always requested to stay on as a clients assigned caregiver when I'd fill in for someone or pick up an open shift, sadly the office always had to inform them my schedule was full and there was a waiting list of people who had already requested that they received a phone call when or if a time slot that fit their schedule became open on mine. I was employee of the month in February of 2021 and was asked to stay on and just be open to take weekend or occasional jobs when I resigned in June of 2021. I was sad but had been offered a job to pursue my notary commission that I have had since 2014 and I needed the extra money, but I did accept the offer to not resign but remain available to take occasional jobs. I was so busy at my new place of employment and completely burnt out that there wasn't ever an open day for me to work for them as a caregiver after that, but it was only due to the overwhelming amount of work and stress of the new job I had accepted without being completely aware of what I had jumped into. I wasn't informed of many aspects and also told that my hours would be 40/hrs a week on average and rarely exceed that. I ended up working long 12 hour days for months and missed my laid back and flexible job caring for other people and having no stress during that time. I realized that caregiving came naturally to me and during that time, I experienced more job satisfaction and overall happiness than I had experienced in any previous 8-5. I've decided to jump back into that and see what future clients I may get to know in the future.

I truely think that being a caregiver just came naturally to me. Growing up my great grandmother lived with us and I was taught at a young age how to care for an elderly person. It is a passion in life to make a difference in someone else's life in a positive way. I believe I have done this many times working for individuals and I have enjoyed every minute of it. I love to nurture and care for others, as a mom it just come naturally. :)

I'm a very honest and loyal person.I believe it's my spiritual calling I try working other places but my heart was not in it . I luv being of an assistant, companionship, helping and giving my all to make sure my patience is happy and comfortable. I had a patient I work with for almost 10 years until she pass away I made sure I was there for her every needs to assist her .. I'm very proud of this gift of compassion to that God has place in my heart to help others.
