I have been doing home health care for over 20 yrs now. I love my job and what I do. If I can make someone's life easier then I know I have done my job. I Love people And not just anyone can do this kind of work. You have to have a passion for people, and that's what I have. Every client I have had love my work. I'm good at what I do because I love what I do.

I have been a caregiver for many years. I have helped those recover from surgery (hip, back, brain) and those with MS, cancer recovery, Parkinson's, paralyzed and many other conditions. I am an excellent cook and live a healthy lifestyle. Nutrition is an essential part of healing the mind, body and soul. I enjoy cards, board games, travel, singing, dancing, the theater, musicals, farms, cooking, walks and conversations.

I have always loved helping people especially those who cannot always help themselves. I am very out going and at my current job love to get them out and about in the community such as going for walks and the free concerts that r offered in our area thru the summer. My residents also love to go to the movies. One of my personal achievements that i am most proud of is with the help of my husband building a garden box got my residents out and growing their own vegetables which in turn made them want to eat the healthy food. I find happiness in the work i do i wish i had got into this field of work years ago and would like to continue doing what i do for anyone that needs the assistance.

Miss my own grandparents terribly. Caregiving fills that void for me. Love, it when my patients relive the past, and feel young again! I have always been a caring and compassionate person. I started my medical career as an army medic. I then became a paramedic and have continued to help people of all ages and medical conditions in many different settings. I became a full time caregiver about 3 years ago when my grandfather stared to go downhill. He became sick and had lived in his own house with my grandmother. He was 94 and at the time 88. My grandfather who's mental status was completely there started to need a lot of help getting around the house, making food, cleaning, going places and etc. I have 4 uncles and everyone pitched in because my grandmothers mental state was starting to deteriorate as my grandfathers physical status decreased. I started to spend about 4 nights a week there trading off with mainly my dad and other uncle to make sure when they got up at night they didn't fall. I made meals, helped with showers, cleaning and just about everything else. My grandpa passed in 2017, and we had to take care of my grandma, who's mental status had completely deteriorated after her husbands death. We took rides, went shopping, got food, and had a lot of fun. She eventually got very week and we couldn't do it all alone. So we got her into grand pines, which is a amazing facility! They helped us through a lot but I really enjoyed just sitting with her doing my homework and listening to her be happy and just talk away. That's why I know I would love a job to be a caregiver, I love to be company and do little fun activities that I know the person I'm taking care of would enjoy too.
