Became a caregiver to care for my Father in Law, Hospice trained me and he originally stayed in my home 5 months before passing at 92 years old. Since that time I've stayed with individuals and couples in different settings with different medical conditions. I am empathetic , happy Christian woman; enjoy helping others-giving. Very sociable, dependable and caring. Love reading & cooking, If I can make a difference in the life of a loved one, then I have fullfilled my job duties:))

I'm a very Loving caring person with many skills. My calling in being a caregiver is to provide Companionship and making you feel comfortable and loved as if you were one of my family members. I've completed many achievement that I am proud of. Being flexible, determined on doing my best are some which I am most proud of.

I worked 25 years in the Rutherford County School System as a Custodian and a Lunchroom Worker. I learned many skills in my years working there. How to be a team player was one of the many skills I learned. My references included 3 Principal's that I worked for.

I would say my best personality trait is that I have a big heart. I have always been a caregiver, especially when it came to family. I currently work as a lead teacher in a daycare, I love my job so very much! I enjoy being surrounded by joy and love. I would say I love the connections you get with the family's is what I love the most. It's all about caring for the person and their family so they all feel heard :)

I started caregiving right out of high school as soon as i was of age to do so. I've always had a love for helping people and with a family full of nurses it felt right to jump right in. I was in school for nursing but changed my mind on that certain degree and plan on switching in the future. I have been a caregiver for more than 4 years and love each and every day of it. I have experience with many things all across the board and i'm never afraid to learn new things either. I have worked with hoyer lifts, gait belts, wheel-chairs, etc.. I have a love for helping and can't wait to assist you and your loved one with any needs!

I possess several important personality traits and experiences that contribute to my role as a caregiver. Some common personality traits include compassion, empathy, patience, and the ability to establish trust. These traits enable me to connect with and understand the needs of the individuals I care for, allowing me to provide emotional support and maintain a positive environment.

What makes me a great caregiver would have to be my patience, compassion, consideration, empathy, attention to detail and my love for others. I treat others with the same respect that I would want. My mother was diagnosed with a savvier disorder for sleep apnea when I was only 4. 3 yrs later she was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, nerve damage then formed from diabetes as well as sugar issues. 5 months later she was then diagnosed with lupus. She also had a fluid disorder, arthritis, obesity, blood disorder (polycythemia vera), She was never diagnosed but we believed she had formed dementia 1 yr before her death. I took on the responsibility of taking care of her at 17. When I was 18 she had to undergo a thrombectomy (surgery to remove blood clots). She had 1 1/2 gallons removed. When she came home I was her caretaker/caregiver for her surgery recovery. I took her to and from her appointments, helped her bath, fixed her meals, administered her medications and kept up with her medications and ran her errands. I would have to say this as well as the job I worked as a health aid has attracted me to be a great caregiver. I have also dealt with and still deal with epilepsy, My sister and my aunt have grandma seizures, my cousin has pseudoseizures ( not epileptic they are emotion stress induced). What I most enjoy is the one on one bond that you gain from the resident you are caring for. This type of job gives someone a nice sense of respect, It helps one gain more knowledge and helps family's in need of help to get that help. It takes a lot for someone to leave there loved one with a stranger, I gain a sense of respect and honesty to be trusted with this individual. A personal achievement that I am proud of would have to be taking care of my mom as well as being there for my sister, aunt, and cousin. There is a lot of health problems in my family and I am proud that I am the one that is able to help them.
