I have always enjoyed working with people and have missed that since retiring from nursing a few years ago. I love getting to know people, finding out their interests and hearing their life stories. I am an upbeat and friendly person and find great joy in being of assistance to others in ways that improve their quality of life and happiness. I grew up in a big family and value those special relationships. I realize a lot of people don't have a big family to rely on and I'm here to help fill that need. (I didn't see a place to mention this, but I am also available to help with your pets.)

My journey as a caregiver started over 16 years ago I have worked in many healthcare settings as well as home health. I've worked with all ages. Mostly the elderly. I have taken care of two terminal lost angels which is why I no longer extend my hospice services to children. I also no longer provide live in service as well due to personal reasons. I am a very clean individual that is very sociable as well as friendly. I'm no chef but I rarely hear complaints about cooking an very adjustable to culture an customs. Can cook a wide variety of foods. I do housekeeping and meal prep as well, when your love one is sleeping so no time is ever wasted .. excellent time management as well as transportation.Leave a shopping list with the store you or your loved one wishes I'll also get the grocery shopping an house needs as well. I first started caregiving when I was 17. My first job was for glorias helping hands. At first i wasnt sure about how i felt about the type of work. I didnt have much experience as to what i was doing. I took some classes and got my rcs1 and crma first. Rcs1 is a residential care specialist and a CRMA is a certified residential medical assistant. As i learned more and worked more I realized that is was my passion to help others who may need some assistance in things they can no longer do. Honestly u really do have to have a passion for this type of work because u never know what could happen or what situation u may end up in. And some of the disabilities, and some health issues can be challenging. Ive been very lucky to continue and have worked and learned various disabilities, as well as illnesses. Today i have my rcs1, pss,cna, and also insulin certified, cpr certified, and first aid certified. I love knowing that I'm making a difference and im helping and am there for someone who needs some support and help in their life.
