I became a CNA because back in High School I went to various nursing homes and hospitals to volunteer to help the elderly and I enjoyed it. Hello My name is Loretta, Some of my personality trait or expertise that help me be a Great Caregiver are: I am a people person, enjoy working and helping people of all ages. This has been my dream of working in the medical field since I was young. I have worked in hospitals, nursing homes, Dr. Office and cared for people in their homes over 30 years. What attracted me to this field was I use to go to work with my mother when I was in Jr. High School caring for patient in a nursing home, and the Private clients in their homes. I have not only cared for Seniors, Some of my jobs was caring for Babies, Children with disabilities and needed a caregiver I enjoy the most most is giving my help and support and bring joy to my clients, letting them know that I am there for them. My personal achievements I am proud of is Knowing that I was a help to my clients, doing the job that was needed to the best of my ability, and assuring them that while I was there, they could feel safe and enjoy being with me as much as I am with them, leaving them at the end of the day in a great Mood.

When I was a younger my mom had a stroke and became paralyzed on the left side. At that she was not able to walk. So i had to step up and become her caregiver. By taking on this, i learned a lot. I learned to have compassion for elders/the ones who have hard time doing for themselves. I realized its not that they dont want to help themselves, its probably physically cant. Which is also where I learned to have patience. That is a must to be a caregiver. Along with those traits I also am skilled in Communication Skill and Problem Solving Skills. That allows me to understand the patients and work with them. I feel like i have a mission in life to help people so thats why I want to be a caregiver. I enjoy walking into a room and the patients are excited to see me. I can motivate them to getting around and just making the smile.
