Hello! My name is Jenna Taber I am 29 years old. I have a 6 year old son named Michael and he lives with me. I have been in the caregiving field for well over 12 years, but I became certified through All Metro Healthcare in Corning around 4 years ago. I have worked in nursing homes and clients homes as well. I have experience with dementia clients, TBI clients, Alzheimer's clients, bed ridden clients,and clients who use a hoyer or a lumex to transfer. I enjoy making a difference in someone's life even if it's just helping them with their daily needs. I wanted to be in the healthcare field due to seeing how much neglect my grandfather was put through. I also wanted to make a difference in someone's life as well. My goal is to become an RN or an LPN in the near future.

What is a personal achievement you are proud of ? I start working with my great grandmother and I see the I start loving what I'm doing with out going to college because that is something that comes from your heart . What attracted you to being a caregiver? The love of the old people I love working with them. What do you enjoy most about being a caregiver? That it's a great job and you can learn more to take care everyone.

I got attracted to being a caregiver upon my Great Grandfather's mental decline. I saw he needed help and knew I wanted to help as many people as I could to ensure they had the best quality of life possible. The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is giving back to the community. I am proud to be the only person in my family to get a college degree and move out of the state of Wyoming!

I became a caregiver to help others in their time of need and give the best care possible. I enjoy helping others and also being inspired to be my best in what I do in life and the career I chose. I love my job as a caregiver! I love helping those who need me! It makes me feel whole and accomplished as a person. I have a huge heart for caring for and helping the elderly. My best accomplishment is becoming "friends " with those I care for currently in assisted living and dementia care. I know it can be difficult but I love what I do! My mother had dementia and I wanted to help those in need. I want to help them in their daily lives and hopefully help them stay at home longer. Assisted living facility that I work with currently, is great! But I'd like a more personal care setting.

I became a caregiver because I love helping people. I love seeing the smiles on the faces of my residents every day when they know there is someone there who is going to truly care for them no matter what. I am a care giver on a Neuro behavioral Unit which can be very challenging at times but something I love about being a caregiver is being able to be there for people who need me. Knowing that I am caring for someone who might not be able to do things without me and teaching them how to do daily activities on their own is the best. A personal achievement I am proud of is rescuing my dog that I have. He was terribly neglected to the point where he was starved and had mange and I was able to help him get better and make him know he will never be treated that way again. I am planning on going to be a registered nurse eventually but for right now I am content being a CNA. Iwouldnt be happier doing anything else in my life right now.

I became a caregiver to give the elderly a better way of life, and because I love to assist others with daily living things. I love that doing the simple thing can make an older persons day. I like having people depend on me. A personal achievement is me becoming a cna and currently wanting to enroll to go farther and become a RN. Also having two children and raising them, while doing all this. I am a type of person that is willing to do whatever it takes to make the elderly happy as long as its reachable. I am a hard work, I am never late or call in unless it deals with my children which is rare because my mother helps me with raising them. I take up extra hours, I am very flexible and work weekends. It's an exciting transformation becoming an adult and I am looking for some steady hours to get my rent paid! I am avalible everyday of the year during the mornings, days, nights, holidays as well as overnights. I have done it all and have my diploma, CPR, PCA, HCSS, CDA, NAECY, and my ECE certifications. I also have college credits from a three year voactional school i attended and would love to start saving up some money to start online classes.
