I believe what makes me a great caregiver is the experience I have. I have 5 years experience working for an agency and independently. I have significant experience with hospice care, dementia, Alzheimers , Parkinson's, COPD, cancers, companion care and the general everyday care of those that can't do things for themselves anymore like cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping and showers. I always keep medical books in the homes of my clients/patients. On every shift I always take blood pressure , temperature and oxygen so that Vitals can be monitored regularly for any changes. The medical books will keep logs of daily living such as any Dr appointments, mood changes, medications, vitals, daily diet and activities. It's important to catch/detect any change in health. Communication is big with me on keeping everyone on the same page so that the best care can be given at all times. I'm a registered health care aid, . CPR/First Aide certified. I became a health care aide because I believe our loved ones get better care at home from one on one care opposed to a nursing home.

Hello! My name is Jenna Taber I am 29 years old. I have a 6 year old son named Michael and he lives with me. I have been in the caregiving field for well over 12 years, but I became certified through All Metro Healthcare in Corning around 4 years ago. I have worked in nursing homes and clients homes as well. I have experience with dementia clients, TBI clients, Alzheimer's clients, bed ridden clients,and clients who use a hoyer or a lumex to transfer. I enjoy making a difference in someone's life even if it's just helping them with their daily needs. I wanted to be in the healthcare field due to seeing how much neglect my grandfather was put through. I also wanted to make a difference in someone's life as well.
