Hi my Name is Antoinette Ellman iam a people person, out going, loving caring person. I love to go the extra mile for all my clients. Working at a nursing home years ago made me want to get in the healthcare field. I love working with older people and helping them because some people just don't have that or someone just to talk to or make their day. Graduating high school and having a Management position in hotel under my belt, and coaching my kids soccer team are my biggest Achievements

Even as a little girl I have always enjoyed helping people any way I could. I have always been drawn to the medical field in some way. I started as a PCA helping with medications, insulin, wound care, some personal care. I then became a CNA and have worked with many wonderful people. From helping with basic care needs, to being someone they could share company with. To full care needs. Dressing, dinning, bathing, physical therapy, helping transfer from sitting ro standing. Wheelchair to bed. I love being able to make someone smile in anyway I can.

I have been working in senior care and healthcare since the mid 1990's while in college. My experience first began when volunteering in the Adopt a Grandparent program and as an Activities Assistant in a Pittsburgh Nursing Home. I was married to a minister for 20 years and had many great experiences with the elderly in the church and home setting. We moved to Carthage, MO and I became a certified CNA and CMA. I've experience with nursing homes, assisted living, in home care as well as private clients. Through all of this I have truly found a love and compassion for the elderly population! I have also assisted in the care of my own mother and moved back to this area in November, 2019 to do so.

Becoming a caregiver for me comes from a deep compassion to help others. Knowing that I can make a difference in someones day just from lending a hand, an ear, or a shoulder is enjoyable for me. I have been a certified nursing assistant for almost 12 years. I have seen and learned alot, I have been present for the best of times, and the worst. I love what I do so much that I went to college and obtained my associates degree in nursing!

I became interested in caregiving at a young age due to my family's history in the medical field. My mother is a nurse and my father has worked at the hospital for over 30 years. Growing up in this environment helped instill a passion for helping people and thirst for knowledge. The aspects I like most about caregiving are seeing how I can help improve someone's day and meeting new people from all walks of life. I started personal care back in 2016 while working at a local nursing home, but took a break to persue my bachelor's degree in business administration. I do have my clearances and my back ground check and FBI check I became a care giver because i wanted to help the ones that need help with their daily needs .I like helping people with their daily needs and i love getting to know them and their family's . It's a great feeling to know that you are doing something and caring for someone that needs a little or alot of help . It makes me feel happy when the one i'am caring for is happy and their family is also happy with the care i give them . I have been a care giver for almost 20 years . I stopped working for awhile , when my Grandmother (103) was getting worse and she need more help before she passed this year . i wouldn't change doing what i've been doing .
