Throughout my adult life, nurturing and caring for others is something that has been very natural for me. I have had the great privilege of being a mother and raising 5 children and now the grandmother of 5 beautiful little ones. I've seen the need for more trustworthy, quality Caregivers and strive to be one of them. My desire is to improve quality of life and bring a sense of calm assurance and safety to others when their world has been shaken. I am level headed, practical minded and compassionate. In my experience, kind sensitivity can be healing in many ways. I've been afforded life experience in caring for my husband after surviving a plane crash and learning to walk again. A year later, our 8 year old son was diagnosed with a brain tumor. I've learned a great deal through navigating the challenges of these life altering experiences. Both husband and son are healthy and well today. I've also had the opportunity to be a caregiver for local clients as well as my own mother after colon cancer surgery and assisting my brother in difficulties regarding Parkinson's. I love people in general especially the elderly. They need lots of love which i am am a big .giver of love and special needs when you get old. I gave up my career to stay home and take care of my 93 year old fatherinlaw and i knew in my heart i did the best job of taking care of him until he died. I told him i would never put him in a nursing home to die and he got to die at home

I am extremely compassionate and caring in my work. I have a passion and the knowledge for taking care of elderly companions in the correct way they should be taken care of. I have been working in geriatric healthcare for a year and a half. I am CPR certified. My favorite part about being a caregiver is seeing how much a companion appreciates what you do for them just by the look in their eyes.

I also have an associates degree i. Business management. I have had a cna and a medical assisgance license for over 22 years but i let it laps. I have tried other jobs from financing to repossession. Yes it may pay well but it doesnt make my heart feel the way it does when im an helling people. One thing i am most proud of is ive managed to raise 3 beautiful sons and i have had 13 foster kids. You have to patience, understanding and both sympathy and empathy to do this job. You have to care and want to help people. In the end I love the way being a crar giver feels.
