I dealt with a variety of people of different ages and backgrounds for over 10 years. I've learned to have empathy for my clients instead of sympathy. I treat every person like they are my family member and how I would want to be treated if I was ever in their position. Seeing and hearing how people are mistreated when they need care made me want to take care of others. I can't help everyone in the world but the ones that I can, I want to provide the best services possible. I enjoy seeing my clients smile and them knowing that there are good people in the world who take pride in caring for others. A personal achievement I am proud of is obtaining my CNA and attending college to further my education in nursing to provide a better experience for my clients. I am moving to the Georgia area the beginning of November
What makes me a great caregiver is I love helping others and making them smile. I like hands on work. I'm very responsible, respectful and dependable. I became a caregiver when I first started caring for my grandma who had dementia. the bond you have with your client and the family when you are a great caregiver is a great feeling. I feel that when im older, I would want someone like myself there to help if I need help. Being a caregiver is more then a job, you are responsible for another person's well being.

I decided to become a caregiver when my daughter was born prematurely and had health issues, i realized i loved being able to care for people who could not care for themselves. After i obtained my license i also had the opportunity to care for my brother who had terminal cancer.

I became a caregiver because I wanted experience while I am going to school to become a Nurse. What I like about being a caregiver is making that difference in someone's day and knowing that they get the best of care when I take care of them. The fact that I am still going to college to pursue my degree in nursing while I have two toddlers is a personal achievement I am proud of. Another personal achievement I am proud of is the fact that my fiancé and I built a brand new house at the age of 21. I strive to do my best and will not stop until I feel I am doing the best I can do. I enjoy pleasing people which is why I love taking care of people, I want to be the one nurse that makes a difference.
I make a great caregiver because I'm loving and caring to all of my patients/customers. I'm also very compassionate about my career choice. My career choice really attracted me to becoming a caregiver. Also with me being in school for nursing I want to get a feel of all the job opportunities in the health field for nursing. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that I can make someone smile by just doing the little things. I can make someone happy just by being there and talking to them. My personal achievement I am proud of is getting accepted and starting the nursing program at del tech.
1. I am currently retired and unemployed, but seeking a position which would not require me to supervise or manage other employees. 2. I feel it gives me a little flexibility in work hours and responsibilities, while providing companionship to a senior citizen in need of services. 3. I went back to school at age 55 to become an Aesthetician. Being the oldest student in the class, graduating ( in spite of an injury which caused me to lose 3 mos out of class, but coming back and graduating WITH my class) and passing my State Boards to obtain my license. 4. I have worked over the last 40+ years, in various positions, in corporate America. I would like to be of assistance to someone who needs a little attention, and care, to make a difference in their life.
