The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the look on my clients face of the satisfaction that I can provide for them.

I have been a certified Medical Assistant for over eight years. Therefor my scope is wider then a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). I have many years of work experience working with Geriatric population. My certification and BLS CPR are current. I am available for evening care and weekends.

I enjoy helping others. I am friendly yet professional, caring, honest, dependable, I have integrity. I believe that everyone deserves dignity in their care and I believe that family caregivers also need breaks. It doesn't make one weak to ask for help it makes you stronger. It is an opportunity to recharge your batteries. Caring for children with special needs can also be very taxing on the family unit and they need that moment to recharge. That is why I offer respite care. I was a CNA for 3 years and have been a respite provider/caregiver for nearly 4 years and I am now in my second semester of the Nursing program at VVC. I am a Navy veteran and mom of four. I am originally from TX and moved to CA in 2012. I love people and animals. I enjoy connecting with new people and can pretty much get along with anyone. I've been a caregiver for 16 years I've done nursing home children with autism and other disabilities as well as patients that are in home with hospice care and NG feeding incontinence care and I'm a great companion

I became a caregiver because of my Mother she had became ill and I wanted to care for her but because I was not experienced in the health field she wanted some one who was in the health care field, so she had to go to the hospital and when I went to visit her I seen that she was in pain and uncomfortable in the hospital bed, and I tried to help her but did not know how too, and that made me very angry, so I decided to take a class in nursing Assistant and Home Health, but by the time I was finished with the course my Mother passed away. which helped me to see that their are others that need help in their homes and in nursing homes and I wanted do it for my mother to care to those in need and, I love caring for others, and I know my Mother is smiling down on me every time I make a difference in helping someone to live their life as much as possible. My greatest achievement is when making life better for others, like I met a lady who had had a stroke and her husband was caring for her and she was having problems with her hands stiffening up so I made her a home made device to help her be able to open and close her hand for exercise, so she could regain her strength in her hands and move her fingers. It was just rolled up towels but it helped her and made a difference and she was so pleased and so was I.

I Enjoy Working with others and learn new things from my clients on day to day basis while keeping companionship and making new friends I like to get to know my clients On the daily basis and routines I don't see them only as clients but friends I been working in this service for over 10 years i got to meet a lot of clients I love i enjoy The field i'm in . hope to meet you soon thank you
