I am personable and enjoy being a home care provider. I became a caregiver because I wanted to help others by assisting them with their activities of daily living. I enjoyed caring for many seniors over the years and learned quite a lot from them. I believe I'm a great caregiver because I have had extensive training in a skilled nursing facility as well as in many private homes. I also enjoy seeing the difference that I often make in people's lives. I became a nursing assistant back in 1982 and acquired my Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license at the convalescent hospital where I worked. I then went on to work for several home care agencies and acquired my Certified Home HeaIth Aide (CHHA) license. I have worked as an independent contractor caregiver for years. I am willing to commute for full-time employment. I have great references and will be happy to submit them upon request.

Growing up, I was best friends with someone who has Autism. I was the only person she wanted to see when she was having a bad day. Her love for me sparked my interest in the Caregiving field. I am still in contact with her and her family to this day. I have worked in a day program for adults with IDD for a little over 2 years. This past year I worked in a residential facility for adults with IDD. Both opportunities were extremely rewarding and allowed me to gain more experience in this field. I am still new to the home caregiving world but I am eager to become more experienced! I am a very dedicated and caring individual. I can't wait to start lending a helping hand!

I also earned my certified nursing certificate in 2004 . I have worked in convalescent homes, doctors offices as well as private homes. I am a very compassionate person and is sensitive to each individual needs. I am very organized , trustworthy and responsible and have excellent references. I can do light house work, yard work and errands as necessary. Since I am a mother of 3 boys , I have a sense of humor and thick skin when needed. I am a retired Caregiver with over 35 years of experience. I acquired my experience by working in Hospitals, Home Care Agencies, as a Private Caregiver and Caregiving for family members. My Mother steered me in this direction when I was around 8 years old, by having me help her older friend that was just discharged from the hospital & Caregiving has been my calling since. As we age and live by ourselves, it's not as easy to take care of ourselves & we may need some helping hands, that are trustworthy, to remain in our home.
