What makes me a great caregiver is being very loving, caring, supportive toward the elderly, and a great person. I became a caregiver because from both sides of my family I had 2 great grandmothers who were getting older and as they got older I was always the one to make sure they were okay. I like taking care and going out to run errands with patients, makes us gain a great strong bond to where their family likes you as well. I am proud of myself actually sticking with this field and loving it as much as I do. Also I love how I have not given up on any of this! Some people are so quick to give up on this type of work or take their anger out on the elderly.

My level of expertise is like no other; Effortlessly, I always go above and beyond for my clients. Ever since the age of five years old when my Mom asked me what I wanted to become and my answer was "Mom, I want to be a Doctor because I want to take care of old people and I love them" and of course she laughed. Years later I ended up in numerous occupations, but at the end I found my way back to nursing (smile)- Need I say more? It gives me great pleasure to listen to the elderly. My mother would have been proud of me when I achieved my licensed (CNA) and knowing that it does not stop there since I was already enrolled in a nursing program in College and eventually I will go back since I took a long break after she passed. I grew up on a farm in Ohio with 8 sisters, 1 brother, 3 dogs & several cats, ducks & guinea pigs. I have volunteered most of my adult life with a multitude of organizations including: Hospice, the Humane Society, Make A Wish Foundation, the local library, Kitty Konnection (a feral cat rescue), the Rape Crisis Hotline, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, my local church. I enjoy helping people and the company of animals. My hobbies includes music, baking, traveling, reading, movies, and art museums. I have 2 grown sons & 6 grandkids, all of whom live in other states.

I first became a Certified Nurse Assistant , and then I went back to school to gain experience to become a Registered Nurse . My journey to finishing school has had its ups and downs due to family deaths.
