Why I became a caregiver is because I like helping people I think that's the best job u can have . I had a grandma who I heloped take care of In the last years of her life she had dementia ,parksisons disease, and many other health issues . I became a caregiver because since I was a young I helped taking care my cousins and my grandparents, especially being around my grandparents thought me a lot , I said to myself when I grow up I will like to be to work as a caregiver. I am a very loving and people person . I decided to become a caregiver when I started working at a care center in Hiawatha Iowa as a Dietary Aide . I decided that I wanted to work with the residents instead of serving them . I found a job shortly as being a resident aide at Mayvil assistive living , I didn't have to be certified. I then began to wonder what was the difference in being certified or not ... I started to look into classes to become a certified nurse assistant, I was determined to get my certification. So I took off a month of work to go to school . Believer it or not I loved it , when I finnished school I got at westridge care center , I loved my residents but I decided to return home to my hometown. I would like to get into some home health care ! I enjoy waking up everyday and being the first person my resident interacts with for the day , I smile definitely starts the day off . I also love to be able to tuck my residents in at night !

My name is Holly Vaughn, I am a young single mother of a beautiful baby girl, I am extremely out going and have a passion for helping others. I started looking into care giving when a close family friend fell sick and needed help with everyday activities. I am very patient and compassionate which helps me be an great caregiver. I enjoy being a caregiver because I like knowing I can be their for someone in their times of trouble and put a smile on their face even when they are having a rough day.

I'm a very outgoing person that loves to talk to others about anything and everything. I enjoy taking care of others and doing my best in making them as comfortable as possible and feel cared for. These people see so many faces and know how cares about their jobs versus who don't, and to be remembered and appreciated is the most rewarding thing to me.

What makes me great caregiver is my patients, empathy and compassion. I understand that slowing down is a process of aging. Allow elderly to move at their own pace without making them feel like they are being rushed provides them with the sense of independence. I do care about their concerns and frustrations due to their life changes. I am dependable and I understand the importance of being on time and prepared to preform schedule duties. I am positive and happy person who enjoys helping others and love to make others smile! :)
