I became a certified nurses assistant in 1987 through state of Indiana. I continued for 23 years. I wanted this type of job since junior high. I can not recall a time where I was not taking care of someone or something. Working for Gardenview Manor as the assistant director of activities was truly my "dream job". Taking care of my residents, making sure they had what they needed. (Including yet not limited to physical and mental support. )My job was to "keep everyone happy" and I did just that. I came in everyday seeking every possible solution to any and every problem. If my residents were not content, I did not clock out. I stayed and made sure they got what they needed. That is simply how my heart is wired. There are not many people like myself. I say that with complete gumption and honesty.

I became a caregiver at a young age as my mother was a single mom raising me but also caring for my grandmother who moved in with us when I was just 9. My grandmother suffered from dementia and Parkinson's disease so I quickly learn to adapt to life in her life and mind. I am currently pursing my degree in nursing in hopes to continue my education after obtaining my bachelors onto my masters program.
