I am looking for a part time position with hours in the evenings and/or weekends. I became a Caregiver because I enjoy being around people. My grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and after my grandfather passed away, I would visit her frequently to do her hair and other small tasks for her. The more time I spent there, I discovered how much I loved it. I got my Caregivers certificate within months and have never loved what I do so much. I love being able to help others. I love encouraging them to embrace what they can do and help them, gently, with what they are unable to do, now. Even though the job may be difficult at times, the reward at the end of the day is always worth it. I have worked in some very challenging circumstances where my patience, joy and understanding are challenged. I am proud to say that I have learned to understand where my client is coming from in different circumstances. I have learned to be patient with them during any situation and to be joyful before, during and after any trying time. I am a people person, with a big heart, who cares immensely for other people. I am trustworthy, kind, patient, caring and understanding.

I think I am a great caregiver because I pay strict attention to the needs and wants of my clients. I became a caregiver, after I retired, because I love people and have a passion to help. What I like most about being a caregiver is the fact that I am able to be of assistance in any way that I can for people. I have a very loving, caring heart and out of the many clients that I've had, I can honestly say, I've loved them and they have loved me as well. Besides all of that, I enjoy the wonderful conversations that we have and enjoy the many stories I've heard from them. I've been assisting my great grandparents for a long time, aside from my previous experiences that have helped me be prepared me greatly for this field. I enjoy the company of the elderly as they always give a different perspective and tell great stories about their youth. I take pride in caregiving because our elders have done so much for us and the least we can do is help them live comfortably with our assistance.

A short preview of me... I started volunteering at our local nursing facility when I was 12 years old. At the tender age of 15, I had my very first Home Care job. I have also worked in a facility but have found that I really enjoy the one on one care I can give an individual. I've been doing Home Care for 27 years now. It's my passion. I currently am State Certified Home Health Care Aide . I have also had CNA training in the past. I love the care that I can provide for those in need. It's the most rewarding career I believe.

I became a certified nurses assistant in 1987 through state of Indiana. I continued for 23 years. I wanted this type of job since junior high. I love this type of work to see smiles and make tasks easier for those who have a hard time. I too may be there soon. I have done hospice experience for a year and caregiver work around 6 years.

Hello my name is Leslie. I have been a caregiver for 8 years, I started my journey with group home care with the mental disabled. Two years later I started elderly home care, making sure the elderly get a chance to stay in their own homes where they are comfortable is my pleasure.
