I have over five years experience in working as a CNA. It comes naturally when you genuinly love what you do. Providing a safe and comfortable environment. Being a good listener and patience is key. I currently work at a nursing facility and I have a fan base there!! I can tell if I'm away for to long cause they are always asking other caregivers where is Lisa? When is SHE scheduled to return? When I do report to work, I'm always given hugs and words of appreciation. It's a good feeling. Going out of my way for a person is no big deal. It's needed sometimes cause your clients are your family too.

My name is Shawndell Rideau I've been in the medical field for about 15 years. I'm experienced in skilled nursing, homecare, special disabilities, hospice care, rehab, etc . I love what I do being able to care for other is passion and blessing to put a smile on their face. Since I was a little girl going to the nursing home with my school choir singing and dancing for the residents always made them happy . At 19 I went and got my C.N.A license and went from there pursing my passion . I went to school a couple years back and got my Medical Assistant Certification which im proud of and want to go back for my R.N.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I treat the patient that I get as if they were part of my family. I naturally have an urge to help others and I want to make the world a better place and they do it with one home care patient at a time. I am a person with a big heart who has patience, empathy, compassion, reliable and I am trustworthy. I enjoy having that personal relationship with someone I am caring for the most. Seeing you and stranger become so close is a beautiful thing to me. I have my CNA but I currently can not find my certification number but I have papers to prove that I am certified if needed.

I am a great caregiver because I have a love for helping people. My happiness is in infectious and I like seeing people smile. I'm attracted to being a caregiver because when I am able to help someone else it makes me feel good. People always need someone to help them at some point in their life, and I really enjoy knowing that I am able there to help. A personal achievement that I have made is raising two beautiful children as a single mother and they are also helpers themselves.

Hey I'm sharmain family call me Tootie. I'm 34 years old. I've been in the CNA field since 2008. Soon as I graduated high school I got my Medical Assistant Diploma and been in the field since. I've stepped a way to find other careers I like as I'm doing hair cooking and working with electronics. I'm not much of a talker but when I do I can make a full room laugh I love to be goofy I do have 3 boys witch my oldest two days ago walked into adult hood. I love sports and love to cook and do art work.

I am a person who really enjoys helping people. Besides being a wife and mother it's really my only goal in life. Working with people who need the extra help allows me to fulfill that goal. The stories they have and the learning experiences they provide are what brought me to home health care, I could listen to most of my clients for hours. My clients love having someone there that truly listens to them. And I am extremely gental but firm at the same time which allows me to help them in the most efficient way without hurting them, and that gives my clients a piece of mind that I know what I'm doing.

I have been caring for others for over 20 years. I take pride in my ability to meet my Clients needs. Sometimes that could mean a assisting with bathing, sitting with them enjoying conversation or just listening. I am very intuitive when it comes to my clients. I enjoy meeting needs spoken and unspoken. I realized caring for others was my calling when my mother would take me along to nursing homes. I enjoy seeing the enjoyment when my clients are able to do the things they love the most. I am most proud of my ability to be compassionate, understanding to my clients situation.

What's makes a great Caregiver is someone that has compassion for what they do. That comes with being honest, genuine, patient, and loving. I believe I am all those and more. I always try to connect with people, make memories and become a part of their life. I love to read, write, and I absolutely love puzzles. I have been a certified nursing assistant for a year now, with that CNA license I also carry a certified medication aides license giving me the ability to administer medication as well. I am going to school at JCCC and I do work as well. Mostly during the day. I've had multiple different kinds of experience with allot of people. I have had experience with residents that have had a g-tube, I have personal experience when it comes to that. I also have experience with trachea, a colostomy, someone being paralyzed, and also residents that have Dementia. I love my job and what I do. Being able to make memories with those that I see everyday makes my heart glow. The achievement that I am most proud of is escaping a harsh environment with my child by my side. And finding a passion I long for which is making others smile. Doing the best I can as a mother, a caregiver. And a friend.

I was the only girl in my family, and I lost my mom ten years ago and I feel that I did not had enough time to care for her, so I like giving my services to the elderly because I see them like my mom. I also like giving my services to those who are not able to care for themselves because it is a blessing from God to give services to tho who can not help themselves. I also like giving my services the the elderly because one day I will need the same services they need. So if it is not me to provide those services to them, who else will do it. It starts with me first.
