I'm a great caregiver because I look as the patients as if they are my own family. I will never do anything to harm them. I'm always there to help in any possible.

I am very caring, I love to clean, I am a very neat and tidy person. I am also a very positive person which could be a very helpful trait in caregiving. What attracted me to caregiving is the companionship that I feel our elders lack. They lack having someone there when they need someone the most.

I'm 39 years old and I enjoy gardening, doing nails, cooking and art. I have 2 teenagers, my son is 16 and my daughter is 18. I have always had a passion for taking care of seniors. When I was a child, probably 6, I learned that the old lady that lived across the street I thought was just a school teacher, was actually an escapee of Bonnie and Clyde. I would go sit with her everyday. And when I was 10 I started taking care of her because I noticed the ladies that were there were stealing from her and not giving her proper hygiene cleaning or feeding her well. I took care of her until I was 16. Then her family has come to stay with her because she was fading away. But there were other elderly on my street I cared for growing up. And they are the reason I am so drawn to caring for the elderly. I enjoy sitting and talking to the people I care for. They are wise and they have many stories. And they love to tell everything they've been through and learned. They truly care about people and their well-being. I see caregiving as a type of gratitude and I enjoy doing crafts or anything with them. I like to make them feel good about themselves. I am not a perfect person. No one is. We all make bad choices and go through hard struggles in life. Personally, I am proud of myself for all I've overcome. I have come a long way. Not every day is easy but every day is conquered. So many people judge others before they hear their story. The love of the elderly and their willingness to accept and trust in a stranger to come in and care for them is overpowering in my mind. They demonstrate the kind of love we should have for one another, whether they be a stranger or not and I admire them for that and so much more.

Care-giving became a very important job for me as I continued to work. I got involved with care-giving because one day my parents have to get older and im going to want to know how to take care of them instead of throw them in the nursing home. What I enjoy most about care-giving is that I learn so much while doing it. I achieved many goals while doing care-giving as in learning how to take care of elders the proper way and knowing how to help others.

I am outgoing, energetic, and full of compassion. I give 110% in all I do. I became a caregiver at the age of 15 when my neighbor fell ill and I've loved it and have been doing it ever since.

I am a very patient and understanding person, i can get along with anyone in any situation or condition. What attracted me to being a caregiver is the thought of helping other than can't help themselves. What i enjoy the most is seeing my client(s) face light up with excitement after we've accomplished a goal. A person achievement that i am proud of is I've learned how to learn outside of school.

Managed Memory Care Facilities/Alzheimer's and Dementia patient Care/ Assisted Living facilities for15 plus years. I've been working in Senior Care for many years. Was a Cardiac Nurse many years ago. Currently I'm RCFE certified, that is hold a license for Retired Care Facilities of the Elderly. I've got a Caregiver Certificate, and am the CPR/ AED certified. My job not only involved the care of my patients, but managing a large staff, and training them in the care of Seniors ... For the past 5 years I've done Home Health Care where my patients are treated with loving care, while fostering as much independence per needs. . I cared for my grandmother for years until she passed in 2015, and have helped care for my mother, who is disabled, since I was a teenager! I am very personable and love talking to the elderly and hearing all about their life stories!
