I am faustina Sam 30 years of age from Ghana . I currently live in glen burnie, I live a diligent life style with no bad records and do not smoke or drink alcohol. I have a total of three years experience with patients care. I believe I a fit for this job because I have the necessary experience to care for the elderly. I have worked at the teaching hospital bed of 250 in Africa- Ghana. I have the opportunity to care for different patients with different disease. In the United states I also worked with accessible home health and with different patients including stroke. I also assisted patients with their household task, doctors appointments arrrans, medications and activities of daily living including cooking, feeding and bathing. I also acquired the skills to follow safety precautions to prevent falls and accidents.

We all have a need to feel valued and loved regardless of our position in life or our age. I seek to serve and assist, to laugh with and encourage these valuable ones who have lived so much life and who have contributed in both seen and unseen ways to our families and communities. I see caregiving as a way to give back....bringing heartfelt joy to people and helping....I can think of no greater job. I have been in this field for 13 years now and I really love what I do . I really enjoy being able to help others . I have my CMT , I've been certified for almost three years now . I prep meals , clean, and I do laundry. I have worked with lots of different people. For example people with dementia and altimeters. I've also done just companion care.

I decided to become a caregiver about 12 years ago while caring for my 86 year old father. He had several medical issuses some include... COPD, seizures, stoke dementia etc. After his passing i realize how important it was to able to care for those who are unable to care for themselves. I also realize we may all be face with the need of someone to assist us with ADLs, errands and so forth one day. It brings me joy knowing I've helped someone continue to enjoy a quality life despite their limitation. I currently hold a CNA certification I'm a easy-going, compassionate, funloving a little quite at times self motivated and a serious minded female. My passion is to help others make the most out of their life.

Things that makes me a great care giver is putting someone else's interest ahead of my own. We must love our neighbors as we love our self. So the love that I have for humans is deep rooted. Which makes me want to willingly help more. What brought me closer to wanting to be a care giver is the challenges that I know some elderly people have or people who needed that extra assistance may have issues and sometimes nothing can help suppress that satisfaction but the satisfaction have to be following the rules and making sure that the patient is well taking care of. What I enjoy most about care giving is seeing the smiles on the clients and or patients faces when goals have been accomplished that lets me know that they see what I'm doing, they appreciate it and they want an encore because of the services they've received . A personal achievement that I am proud of is being a dedicated servant of god. That is a marvelous blessing to me.
