Hello! I have been a caregiver for a little over a year now, working in a facility and in-home care. I first decided to become a caregiver to gain some experience in the healthcare field as I am currently going to school for Nursing, and quickly fell in love with it. Caregiving gives me a sense of purpose that no other job has done before, I enjoy knowing that I am making a difference in somebody's day and helping others that may not be able to do things as easily as they used to be able to. I have met some amazing people this past year and have shared some ever-lasting moments. I believe it is my calling from God. Therefore, I put my all into the care I provide for each individual. What attracted me to becoming a caregiver is both of my parents were CNAs, and as a child, they often took us to visit their job.
