My farther has high blood pressure & COPD, I am grateful to be a shining light during those critical moments, providing comfort, peace and a piece of mind to his daily life. Hello. My name is Melissa. I used to work in assisted living facilities back in the early 2000s. I have experience with the elderly along with alzheimer disease. My grandmother moved in with my family. I took care of her for about 7 years until she passed away 3 years ago. In the time I have taken care of someone in the last years of their life, I feel like I have helped them whether it is just sitting and listening to them talk about old times or helping with daily needs. I am proud of my 4 children. Through having to stay at our restaurant 6 days of the week, going to school and doing their homework, and going through the transition of life with their great-grandmother. They are tough and I am so proud of them.
