I have always been the caregiver in my family from my grandmother who suffered a heart attack when I was 11 up to 2016 when my mother-in-law became ill with Parkinson's. It gives me a sense of fulfillment when I make my clients smile...whether it is from cooking their favorite meal or just listening to their life stories. Since I have trained in two different modern health facilities, I am very aware of what to watch for to prevent medical emergencies. My previous clients' families have nicknamed me "Angel" because I always want to make their stressed lives easier...and to create an environment where they can ENJOY being with their loved ones again. I am proud that I am very close to obtaining my CNA license (taking the Oklahoma State Exam in August), having taken 16+ senior homecare courses and training with the very best homecare agencies. I am looking forward to using my God-given talents to help seniors enjoy their lives to the fullest.

I have been a caregiver for 35 years. I have an adult son with disabilities. I have two sets of aging parents who need help. I also have a sister who I provide care for. My journey into Home Health, Hospice and Caregiving started unexpectedly and quite personally. My then 16-year old daughter was diagnosed with a very rare malignant brain tumor. Fast forward 21 years. Although I enjoyed a very successful career as an IT Consultant, it was not emotionally satisfying. I am a caregiver at heart. I have cared for a young woman, now a young adult since her diagnosis with muscular dystrophy as a child. This is on an as-needed basis and she now enjoys independence in her own home. Working with my elderly families has been extremely rewarding. And caring for someone in their final season of life is something God put me on this earth to do. I raise an amazing teen granddaughter and she keeps me young at heart. Her love for pets keeps me on my toes with her two dogs, one cat and Waldo - her turtle. I am enrolling in the WINGS program and will receive my Certified Nursing Assistant(CNA)/Home Health Aide Certification in fall of 2020. This will be immediately followed by their Medication Management Certification program. Although I have performed in these roles and more for two decades, I have only recently decided to accomplish these Certifications. *Note, Any overnight, weekend or holiday shifts will be on an exception basis only*

After nursing school, I worked @ nursing facility . I enjoyed very much caring for the elderly. After 10yrs, working I decided, to do private,work. I'm dependable trust worthy,& honest punctual. I care very much about my professional I have worked as a caregiver for 15 to 20 years.

Each patient becomes my top priority. Their individual needs are evaluated and using my expertise from years of training, I develop relationships that make patients feel safe, secure, and well taken care of. I go over and beyond to see patient improvements each day. Sometimes this requires working with assigned medical staff to give them my care plan. i feel honored to be able to help and assist others. I am a very organized, outgoing, caring person. I'm also very clean and live to cook. I've always enjoyed taking care of people that need to be taken care of. I enjoy making life a little easier for others. I took care of a lady in a wheelchair in the past and I motivated her to want to try to walk using her walker of course. She may have only taken 4-5 steps but the look in her face was priceless and that made me so very happy.
