I was attracted to being a caregiver because I wanted to be able to help people be able to do things they are unable to do without help . I just wanted to help them have the normal life they would have if they were able to do so .

I knew I wanted to take care of people when my grandpa was sick when I was in 6th and 7th grade. Visiting him in the nursing home and hospital pushing him around and making him smile was the best feeling ever. I decided to go to Lawrence County Vo-tech for my 11th and 12th grade year to become a CNA and started working my senior year in November 2008. In 2012 I left that job to go to the facility my grandma resided in until she was well enough to go home which was about 2.5 years, and continued to work until I moved in 2016 I currently am working for St. Barnabas now as a hospice aide part time. I recieved an award for employee of the month in August from them. Overall, I enjoy helping care for people, and make them feel good about themselves. A smile of appreciation in return is so rewarding.

I am a trustworthy, flexible, compassionate person. I am interested in helping others and always put others well being in front of mine. I have always wanted to do something in the medical field so that is why I am interested in working with the elderly. I have almost two years experience working as a Personal Care Aid.

I have been in the Healthcare 15+ years. I take great pride in what I do. I recently worked at St. Johns in Mars for 7 years. I love working with the elderly, sick, dementia & all phases pertaining to health field. I have experience with dementia, ventilator patients, alzheimers etc..I get such joy helping & caring for all types of health related illnesses. My name is Hanna Besterman. I have so much respect and love towards older generation. When I was young my Polish grandma was my mentor, idol and love of my life. It was my honor that last 5 years of her life I could take care of her and make her comfortable in my apartment in Poland. I always felt connected to older generation. I deeply believe with my whole heart that they deserve our patience, our dedication and our best care with compassion, love and and always with smile ... and optimism. My passion thruout my entire life was and still is helping and supporting the most vulnerable individuals. My professional background is speech pathologist. For more then 20 years I have worked with individuals who suffered from aphasia, memory lost, mental health problems, blindness, vision impairments, , intellectual and physical disabilities. I am very proud of helping my patients to be able to improve their quality of life and be part of the community. Top of that I have a lots of energy and much love in me,to give to elderly person. My education and life experience gave me the knowledge, the skills to be a great care taker. I am also trustworthy, kind, easy going and very positive person. I am bio languages - English and Polish. My schedule is flexible, I have my own vehicle. My personality is open, warm and fun. I love pets.

What makes me a good caregiver is that I have 9 years experience I get along great with people and I have patience. I love the fact that my son sees and knows what I do and said he wants to do the same thing I do when he gets older.

I think one of my greatest traits that with my experience make me well qualified for the job is, compassion and patience. Because above all those are the two important things you need to have while working in the health care field, and I have learned both go a long way. I have been a personal care giver in many different enviroments/ to all ages of patients for the past 6 years, and the amount of different people you meet and just being able to be there when they need somebody/ help in any way is in my view the best part of the job.

I am a very outgoing, compassionate who enjoys assisting the elderly in their daily lives. My favorite part is all the stories and life experiences you hear/get to be apart of when you're an aide.

What drove me to be a passionate caregiver, was the influence of my mother and how she effected many families lives. Although, I have 2.5 years experience legally working as a caregiver/nurses aide, I have had experience going to work with my mother in my early years of high school. Also, I have many family members/close family friends who have struggled with disabilities, such as Alzheimer's, dementia, healing from surgeries, MR, paralyzed, in wheel chairs, anxiety, cancer, and depression. So including all of those, I have years upon years of experience. I have my own vehicle/drivers license/ etc. so I would be available to provide transportation. I would be a great caregiver for you and your family because I have a GREAT passion for helping/Caring for others, and making them comfortable no matter the situation. I have a huge heart and am very personable. I would love nothing more than to be your families caregiver.
