With previous experience working at a nursing home I'm a kind, soft spoken individual that believes in the importance of senior care. Working with the elderly population has been very rewarding. I've laughed with my residents, I've cried, and I've sat with some towards the end of their lives. Talking with them and comforting them as they enter their final stages life. It's not an easy task, however, extremely detrimental for the comfort and peace of mind of the individual. I strive to be an essential and compassionate companion for each individual.

I am a fun, laid back, compassionate person. I am a believer that being professional does not mean not having fun or enjoying your job. I love being a caregiver because I love helping people. I enjoy making people's lives or even just days better; that is one of the things that gives me the most sense of accomplishment. A personal achievement in proud of is my perseverance as a mother. Being a mother turned my whole life upside down and it has been a hard journey. But as my kids get older, I can see my efforts paying off and I'm really proud of myself for the way I've raised them, because this is the most important job of my life. They make me fight harder, show up stronger, and never stay down.

Being patient means that the person understands that there may be changes in plans, things may not go as quickly as planned, and there may be a little hesitation at times on the part of the person receiving care. someone has compassion for another they have an understanding of what the person is going through. Patients often forget to take their medicines or they forget which ones to take, so it's the caregiver's job to make sure that she or he is drinking the right medicine at the right time. Hello, I am Rebecca. I have been a care giver all my life. Working as a Dental Assistant for 15 years and becoming a Volunteer Fire woman.I had the privilege of taking care of my late Uncle and my late Mother-in-law. My uncle had no mobility and depended on round the clock care.But I was always able to make him belly laugh everyday. My mother-in-law, had three open heart surgeries and additional medical needs. I always made the time to care for her throughout the entire day. I enjoy being a companion and support system. My grandmother always told me that taking care of someone is a privilege not a job. I enjoy getting to know people of all walks through life and I have taken many courses to keep my self educated in patient care.I look forward to getting the opportunity to know you.
