Hello! I'm Kaitlyn, from Winchester, VA. I am a Certified Nursing Aide (CNA). I have 5+ years working as a CNA. I received my BA from Virginia Commonwealth University and I am currently working on my masters at Mary Baldwin University. I work a full-time at home job and am looking to pick up a few hours working as a CNA. I enjoy working as a CNA because I love getting to know people and their stories, assisting those who may have no one else to depend on, and providing genuine support. I am laid back and easy going. My clients like me because I allow them to do whatever they're able to do. I only help them to keep them safe. I feel my client find their autonomy one of the most important things they have left. I love this work. I feel like I'm an important part of these people's lives. The one thing I hate is when I have to leave them for one reason or another.

What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is being able to see my patients smile knowing I can make they day and help them and take some load off them to relax. I'm really down to Earth! I'm an old soul in a young body! I almost never stop smiling! I love to talk to my elders because they have already lived many years and I love to hear their stories! I have 3 kids ranging from 6 years old to 18 months old! My 6 year old is Autistic but I manage well with everything! I always work everything at home around my work schedule! I am a girl that likes to be early to everything! Lateness is not acceptable! I have worked in Assisted living since I was 19 years old; from 2015 to 2020! I currently work with special needs adults in a care facility! Not only am I CPR certified but I have my Food Handler Certificate && I am COVID-19 vaccinated! Hi, my mission is to help, assist and put a smile on every one I take care of face. Taking care of people is very important to me knowing I did my job 100%. With three years experience, I have been known to be the best employee and the best caregiver of someone's loved one. I am going to nursing school and wanting to become a registered nurse and I know I am meant to take care of people. I always feel like I can make everyday better than the day before with my positive attitude and warming heart to give. My favorite thing about my job is either hearing from a family member thank you for what you do and taking the best care of my loved one or to hear the people I take care of miss me when it is my day off. I love working and I can never get enough satisfaction from what I do. I take care of people who is going through rehabilitation, dementia care patients, and assistant living patients. The range of age I have cared for with 51 being the youngest and 103 being the eldest. CPR certified. I love going home with a smile on my face because of my job. I am proud of working with co workers who are older than me but it does not make a difference and I used to train new employees on their job.
