I've been a caregiver/nurse aide for about a year now. I went to a nurse aide training class and started off being a caregiver at Wilson Senior Living Kailua. I am currently going to school at LCC also known as Leeward Community College, I am doing my prerequisite for nursing and I plan on getting my BSN. I have many different experience as a caregiver from doing ADL's such as -Assist patients with ADL's such as feeding, mouth care, grooming and incontinence care. -Build a relaxing environment for residents and family members. -Take residents vital signs -Proving the best care for residents -Assisting with Range Of Motions -Turn and repositioning bedridden patients regularly -Observing, reporting and documentation -Transferring residents with Hoyer Lift -Reporting all changes to the nurse -Making Beds -Helping Residents walk with gait belts, walker, cane and other devices -Toileting assistance and catheter care. I believe in caring for individuals as if they are my own family, I am a very compassionate, reliable and dependable person.
