After working in that position for over 2 years, I desired to provide even more care to those in need. So I joined the private care field, and that is where I found my calling. Greetings! I'm Sheila, I've been in the healthcare field going on 9yrs now. I've had many experiences from a home health to hospitals, to assisted living, long-term care, physical therapy and etc. I gain my passion of becoming a CNA through the love that I have to care for others. It's my drive and dedication that keeps me lifted daily. Never in a million years did I think my role of being a CNA would take place once upon a time in my life with my own family member. A year ago my sister was in a tragic accident which left her paralyzed and in the care of both me and my mom. Although I already had passion and love for what I do, that gave me even more strength and courage being as good as I was. August of 2022, she gained her wings and it's a moment I'll never forget. It gives me the mindset to strive and continue pushing myself daily for better. I want to make a difference someday inside the healthcare field and my goal is to do just that. I'm currently a online graduate student pursuing my Masters in Healthcare Management. Upon graduation I will continue my career as a CNA as well as gain a higher position inside the healthcare field. Hello, My name is Akiva Gray CNA, in school to become a RN. I'm very open understanding, loving and caring. Nursing isn't just a job for me it's my passion, I've been caring and nursing clients, and patients for 5 years now. I know that this is a life long thing for me I lost my mother in 2017 that drove me to the nursing world because I've made a life long vow to myself to help others when they aren't able to help them self's and I do this with great honor and respect.

My passion is helping others. I served in the military for 6yrs. I have worked in the health care field for 8 yrs. I have worked as housekeeper, dietary aid, personal care assistant, certified clinical medical assistant, and nurses aid. Caring for others whom are not able to care for themselves gives me a sense of purpose. Some day I would like to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesist.

I absolutely love being able to care for and be a companion to people. I first got my CNA license in November of 2017 so that I could do what I am passionate about.
