I got started in healthcare at 15 years old. I started by taking care of my mom, as she had mini strokes & had to go to therapy. I would go to therapy with my mom & then help her with therapy at home, then I helped my dad get his stuff ready to go to work every morning. After my daddy left for work I'd take a nap just before going to school. I enjoy being around elderly people, having conversations, helping them with daily tasks & being a companion to them. I've been to school to be a CNA, a Certified Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Tech, Emergency Medical Technician & hopefuly one day finish achieving my RN degree. I'm also a mom of four grown children & I have nine grandbabies. I enjoy taking care of people of all ages. I specialize in caring for people with disabilities & Alzheimers/Dementia disease. I've been doing caregiving an working in nursing homes since 2010. I've worked for CareLink, Home instead, an two different Nursing homes. I'm Moving to Nevada in April and hoping I can find a lovely person to care for. I became a caregiver at a really young age due to a ill mother and a very ill uncle who is no longer with us, may he Rest In Peace. I took care of him for 13 year an lost him in 2014 to kidney failure. I promised him an my mom who I still take care of that I will take care of as much people I can to make life easier for them because I know how hard it is on them to know one day they use to could do for themselves and now they can't.
