I became a cna because my great grandma who raised me became a diabetic and had to have both of her legs amputated. I was around 11or 12. She learned how to walk with new prostetics and her walker. Also I had to administer her insulin at times. She passed shortly after I turned 18. I dedicated my life to her.

Case manager for home care agencies for 7 yrs, I now offer private consultation as well as hands on care for Activities of Daily Living, Companionship, etc. I am very familiar with elder care/memory care, Including but not limited to, Dementia/Alzheimer's. I am also familiar with Parkinson's disease and medications. Extensive experience with catheters, feeding tubes, Hoyer lifts, etc. I have lots of experience with end of life care. I can offer training/education to caregivers and/or family. I can attend doctor appointments to keep Health Care Team and family informed. I can handle medication administration, reminders, refills, etc. I will monitor for medication efficacy/ overall condition and contact MD if any issues arise. What makes me a good caregiver would be I'm very compassionate I'm honest caring loving and I love to help people what push me into the medical field I volunteered for a year-and-a-half with my grandmother until she moved to Sacramento and I like what I did so I went and got my CNA I'm a certified CNA and that's the accomplishment that I am most proud about

I have worked in the healthcare field the past 4 years; I absolutely love it. I have worked in a group home, ISL(individual supported living), nursing homes and psychiatric hospital, ages ranging from 3-100. I worked as a CNA at the nursing home, helping with bathing, grooming, transfers, toileting, changing and person hygiene. In the ISL, I worked with disabled clients, helping with their everyday need. I would provide transportation, assist with house cleaning, administrating meds, personal hygiene and community skills. I Thoroughly enjoy working in the healthcare field and plan to attend college to get my RN degree. After graduation I would like to become a behavioral health nurse. I love being able to help people with things that they are no longer able to do.

What makes myself a great caregiver is I am compassionate, caring,patient,empathetic,and loving, I enjoy what I do for others. What encouraged my choice to do caregiving, My Father, he had a massive CVA in 2009 and since then my experience has driven me more towards helping not only family but those who need it. My biggest accomplishment in being a caretaker is the priceless moments of appreciation with my clients and there families.

I became a Care Giver because I love helping others In their daily living activities. Love to see the gratitude expression on their faces, and for the residents to know and feel that I'm here for them to know that they are not alone. I know that making the decision of becoming a care giver has been the best choice of my life, because I love what I do, love to know that out there, somewhere the're are a lot of seniors who need assistance, and care in so many different ways, but the're may not be that many care givers who are willing to help them, so for me it's an honor and a privilege to to be considered to assist any resident or loved one with their ADLs. I am very proud if the fact that when I worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital I made it possible for a gentleman who was on life support with ALS to go outside for the first time in 4 years. I also facilitated him in being able to speak to his wife through a computer . I am a little bit of a germaphobe so I like to keep everything around my clients -clean and tidy . I am an advocate for the underdog. I love animals. I love flowers. Everything about them, looking at them, growing them, smelling them and putting them in beautiful vases everywhere in a house. A single flower can bring a smile to everyone.

Hello my name is Victoria , I've been a Nursing Assistant for about 15 years. I enjoy every bit of my career. I'm a caring individual whom is very passionate when I have the opportunity to assist. People who can not assist themself. My goal is to have a smile on my clients, Patients or residents faces when I leave. Oh the stories I can spend all day listening to the wonderful adventures they have had. Who they where and how they came to be.
