I started as a caregiver ten years ago while looking for care for my father who was a retired Viet Nam Veteran. The agency who came to interview my father to see what his needs were, liked me so much they asked me to work for them. They are contracted through the V A and had lots of veterans who they said would benifit from my care so I stopped workung as a Dental receptionist and joined their team. My father passed away at home 3 years later in hospice during his illness I quit my job to be his caregiver and felt a strong desire to keep his legacy going by continuing to help those that can't help themselves. Just a year ago my husband had a brain aneurysm that caused a stroke where 6 months later he passed away at home in hospice where again I was his caregiver and needed to be there for him til the end. My heart goes out to familues who struggle with the pain of taking care of a loved one who is sick and even more so of a loved one who is in the end stages of life. Not only do I know how they feel but I understand their grief . I want to be the one who can comfort not only the patient but the family as well.

Recommendation from my last clients: She is good at what she does and handles everything in a very thoughtful and humane manner. Our house is always hygienically clean. She was always running up and down the stairs getting things done around the house. We always had heart healthy meals prepared/made. Shes very attentive and caring, and always goes out of her way to do extra for us. We always tell her shes the best. She has an open attitude. We never had to worry about being without care or telling her what to do. Recommendation from my last supervisor: I had no issues with her during our time with us. She is always reliable and on time. When she has called in due to being sick she has always made up her hours with each of her clients so they did not lose time. She has strives to maintain a professional and caring work environment with each of her clients and has always made them a priority. She will be an asset to whomever hires her.

I'm proud to have been able to take care of my grand mother over the years. Especially when she went through breast cancer as well as terminal lung cancer. My family has always told me that I was drawn to helping fix sick or injured animals and people. I find that it is very rewarding to help aid someone in recovery as well as helping them maintain a sense of dignity and pride no matter what their affliction, medical needs or personal needs may be. I'm calm, patient, dependable, honest and find it easy as well as enjoyable to interact with a variety of personalities. I've also provided travel assistance and support to terminal clients who wanted to visit family and vacation.
