My name is Maria Nunez, I have been a License Vocational Nurse for 8 years now. I love my job, and I think that's the reason I am a great nurse. I love to work hard and give a 100% each shift I work. I am proud that I became a CNA, and then a vocational nurse. Currently I am in my last semester of my RN BSN program.

Recommendation from my last clients: She is good at what she does and handles everything in a very thoughtful and humane manner. Our house is always hygienically clean. She was always running up and down the stairs getting things done around the house. We always had heart healthy meals prepared/made. Shes very attentive and caring, and always goes out of her way to do extra for us. We always tell her shes the best. She has an open attitude. We never had to worry about being without care or telling her what to do. Recommendation from my last supervisor: I had no issues with her during our time with us. She is always reliable and on time. When she has called in due to being sick she has always made up her hours with each of her clients so they did not lose time. I am a fun loving creative professional. I enjoy caring and spending time with the elderly and helping them with their daily needs. I am a graduate student at Pacifica Graduate Institute but I only attend classes three days once a month so I am available full time. I would like to find a live in position with someone because it would be best while I attend graduate school. I graduated from Naropa University with a Bachelors in Contemplative Psychology. I like to offer gentle yoga, meditation, art therapy, and sound therapy for my clients. I am a genuine and committed caregiver and willing to pick up extra hours. I became a caregiver after losing my father at 14. It made me realize the importance of having someone there for your family when they weren't doing well. I always felt the need to give back and help people like the caregivers that had helped me and made such a difference in my life when I needed them most. I love everything about caregiving. I love making any positive difference in someones life that I can, from the simplest thing to giving someone a drink to assisting them in getting up when they are unable to independly. A personal achievement I am most proud of is putting my self through college when no one else in my family had ever gone to college I began the day after graduating high school and kept going for four years without any assistance from anyone. I just relocated to the Rocklin area and really love this area.

I have over 20 years of experience in caregiving. Was a Cna for over a decade and moved on to in home care. I have done everything from rna, rehabs, to dementia units and end of life. I love building a connection with my clients and help them in whatever transition they might be going through.

I have a natural calling for taking care of people in need and especially those who are elderly as I have tons of experience and a great attitude. Clients are comfortable around me as I attend to their needs and job descriptions for their care. I like to cook and keep busy. I have great references and go the extra mile for my clients.
