I've been into nursing and helping people who can not help themselves or even just need very little assistance for more than fifteen years. I started helping my grandmother when I was sixteen years old after she had a stroke. From that moment I knew I had a calling for helping others. I love what I do. Most times the clients or patients that I work with, are very appreciative for my help. Putting a smile on others face is rewarding. I'm honest, reliable, and a fast learner. I know I would be a great help with my professionalism and great work ethic.

I have a spunky personally and will always try to put a smile on your face. I chose this career path because I enjoy making a difference in someone's day. My clients mean a lot to me and I put top priority in caring for them. I go out of my way to help my client with all the care he/she needs. I am tidy and clean with a plus on being very organized. I try to help out on all levels of care to the best of my ability with my knowledge of my experience in homecare. I am a 42-year-old male who have worked in long term care facility. 6 years as a certified nurse assistance prior to becoming a License Vocational Nurse. I worked as a charge nurse and a wound care nurse for 15 years. I loved and enjoyed working with the elderly. I get great fulfillment knowing I'm making a difference in their lives. I have experience with Foley catheters, G-tubes, NG tube and tracheostomy care. I've worked with Alzheimer's and dementia patient. I also have experience with rehab since I've worked hand-in-hand with physical therapy and Occupational therapy to meet plan of care of patients post surgery. On the past three years I've been working as a private caregiver and really enjoy it more than working in a long-term care facility. I could focus more on my patient/client and give them the full attention and care they need.

I love taking care of people. I'm very compassionate and loving also hardworking. I'm a CPR certified and going to school for nursing. I truly do care about my patients and! I listen to them and love to get to know them. I have taken care of some of the most amazing people. My recent client died. He had lung cancer- final stages , tumor and dementia. I truly did have a great chance to get to know someone amazing. I also go beyond the care ones needs. I have taken care of special needs ones from childcare and adult! I also developed caregiver service. I look forward to helping more with love and care.

It's very rewarding being a caregiver.It also allows me to give love and compassion to the people that are in need,I find my career very humbling. I also have my certification as a nurse assistance since the yr.1999 I have experience working with dementia, alzheimers and bedbound patients. Feeding, bathing, grooming,meals,appt. travel and most importantly companionship.

I have a bachelor in Education from Africa but when I came to United States I switched to healthcare and begun with a Certified Nursing Assistant as a foundation to my future career of becoming a registered nurse. After college, my elderly grand mom was ill that she could not manage her activities of daily living and I cared for her for seven months, I realized that this profession was best for me as I helped her with compassion. Caring for her, I attained patience,empathy and passion which makes me a great caregiver for this job. Also as a mother of two children, I have learnt to be patient, encouraging, serve them sacrificially with unconditional love as individuals, and I have enjoyed taking care of them.
