I became a caregiver because, I am a people person and enjoy helping others. I also enjoy making a difference in other people lives, also I love the difference and impact they make on me. I have a soft spot for the elderly disabled and those in need. There is a certain satisfaction in knowing you do all that it take make sure my patient has a smile on their face, and the loved ones as well. I was raised in a caregiver family, my mom is a CNA still to this day. I received my certification in 1999 and other than taking a few years off to care for my youngest daughter full time I have worked in this field most of my adult life. I can't imagine doing anything else & I enjoy it immensely.

I am an STNA (State Tested Nursing Assistant) and also CPR , First Aid, and AED certified. I have been working in the health field for almost 8 years. In June of 2010, I graduated from Ross Medical education in medical assisting. December 2010 is when I began working in health care. I have experience in home health care, private care, in a facility, hospital setting, independently through Medicaid, with Dementia/Alzheimer's and worked as an activities assistant. My experiences have been with individuals, couples and groups of residents. Working with rehab, long term care and dementia, I have gained an abundance of knowledge and experience. My job is to be here for your loved one/self. I am here to make sure ADL's are addressed and companionship is shared. Medication reminders, housekeeping, cooking, bathing, errands and anything else required or needed is what I am here for. I truly love what I do and hope to share that with you and your loved one.

Most of my life i have been a caregiver in some form. Once i entered my adult years i provided caregiving through ihss for 8 years. I cared for a paraplegic woman and even healed sit wounds that drs told my client would never heal. After that i was a caregiver and advocate for people with development disabilities. Im currently a hospital emergency room employee that registers patients by night and caretaker in the day. Im very compassionate and show lots of patience. The joy and care of people in my care is my main priority at all times.
