I am a retired Caregiver with over 35 years of experience. I acquired my experience by working in Hospitals, Home Care Agencies, as a Private Caregiver and Caregiving for family members. My Mother steered me in this direction when I was around 8 years old, by having me help her older friend that was just discharged from the hospital & Caregiving has been my calling since. As we age and live by ourselves, it's not as easy to take care of ourselves & we may need some helping hands, that are trustworthy, to remain in our home. I became a caregiver because, I am a people person and enjoy helping others. I also enjoy making a difference in other people lives, also I love the difference and impact they make on me. Recommendation from my last clients: She is good at what she does and handles everything in a very thoughtful and humane manner. Our house is always hygienically clean. She was always running up and down the stairs getting things done around the house. We always had heart healthy meals prepared/made. Shes very attentive and caring, and always goes out of her way to do extra for us. We always tell her shes the best. She has an open attitude. We never had to worry about being without care or telling her what to do. Recommendation from my last supervisor: I had no issues with her during our time with us. She is always reliable and on time. When she has called in due to being sick she has always made up her hours with each of her clients so they did not lose time. Most of my life i have been a caregiver in some form. Once i entered my adult years i provided caregiving through ihss for 8 years. I cared for a paraplegic woman and even healed sit wounds that drs told my client would never heal. After that i was a caregiver and advocate for people with development disabilities. Im currently a hospital emergency room employee that registers patients by night and caretaker in the day. Im very compassionate and show lots of patience. The joy and care of people in my care is my main priority at all times.
