Making a difference in people's lives has been a passion of mine. My family owned a Nursing Home/Home for the Aged for 36 years. This is were my passion for taken care of people was instilled in me. I worked as a caregiver, cook and handled recreation programs for our residents. Throughout the years I worked for Connecticut Hospice, The Alzheimer's Resource Center, and as a Private Caregiver for children and adults. I had the honor of caring for my Dad and both my Grandmother who all had Alzheimer's. There are many types of Dementia. Training and knowledge is important to understanding the needs of your love ones and clients you care for. This past December I completed training courses for The National Caregiver Certification Program, Understanding Alzheimer's and Dementia and 10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer's. These certification courses provided me with new ways to communicate with Dementia clients. I make sure the things that are most important to my client are done every shift. This is achieved by asking your priorities, then once they're completed if time allows I do my best to tackle the non-priorities. Compassionate, reliable, punctual, treating everyone with dignity and respect are values I live by.

I've been in home care for 14+ years. I worked for Hospice for 6 years, Parkinsons, TBI, stroke, and developmental disabilities patients and etc. I love what I do because I treat all my clients like if they were my family and also the way I would like to be treated. What attract me to Homecare was when I was in high school I used to work in the nursing home. And I am proud of making my patient happy seeing a smile on a face. That makes me know that I am doing my job right.

I love helping and care for others in any way can. I am a caring compassionate person . I have 12 siblings 11 grandchildren and has always had a desire to help others.I decided to take the certified nursing assistant. training and became certified in 1993.. I have worked with patients with Alzheimer's , in hospice care, elderly. I am honest,flexible, fast learner,dependable and passionate about the care give to the patient and get along great with others .

I take care of my patient to the best of my ability I assist my patient with their daily activities such as grooming meal preparation and remind my patient to take their medications and supervise them as they do so I also do light housekeeping i Also take my client to and from their appointments I assist with simple errands such as food shopping

I feel I am a great caregiver because I care about the person as a whole and do not treat them as an object. Also, in almost 25 years I have a wide variety of experiences in a variety of settings. I have taken care of all age groups and have enjoyed all of it for various reasons. I began 5 years after my mother had passed and I had assisted in her care. My training began after leaving the printing industry. Now, I have come to a pinnacle and am attempting nursing school.

My level of expertise is like no other; Effortlessly, I always go above and beyond for my clients. Ever since the age of five years old when my Mom asked me what I wanted to become and my answer was "Mom, I want to be a Doctor because I want to take care of old people and I love them" and of course she laughed. Years later I ended up in numerous occupations, but at the end I found my way back to nursing (smile)- Need I say more? It gives me great pleasure to listen to the elderly. Moreover, their stories are precious and rare each unique experience that "cannot" be replaced (priceless commodity) and most importantly the joy and knowledge it gives me deep within (humbled). Looking back on all my choices I can honestly say that I have no regrets; Especially, since it has mold my life and made me who I am today. My mother would have been proud of me when I achieved my licensed (CNA) and knowing that it does not stop there since I was already enrolled in a nursing program in College and eventually I will go back since I took a long break after she passed. In conclusion, I love what I do and work for me is (never) work since my passion is caring for the elderly (smile)-

My passion has always been to help people. I've been working in the healthcare field for about 2 years now, knowing that I can put a smile on my clients face with everything else they're going through honestly makes my day. I am very trustworthy, relieable, loyal to any company I've worked with!

1. I love providing home care giving services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel i have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people in need, so I know I am doing right thing. 2. Being a caregiver for 13 years has helped me in so many ways, I have worked in hospitals (South Africa), nursing home facilities, private duty. I love what I do in helping each client I've ever worked with. Taking care of sick people that needs my help gives me joy in my heart and it let me know they need people to work with them. 3. Everything i put my mind to, I achieve I'm really self motivated I don't like failing and that's the benefits for me. My biggest achievement I'm proud of is moving here in America. 4.
