Growing up, I've always had a passion for helping others, especially the elderly and kids, I grew up taking of my grandparents, I really love doing so and I was greatfull to spend the times I did with them while they were still here. It is very fulfilling for me to see that I am able to make a difference and make someone's days more agreeable and enjoyable, I wanted to continue doing that so after I graduated from high school, I got my certificate in the home health care field to continue to help caring for others in need.

My personality traits are or should I say is that I'm Always communicating with the person that I am taking care of I guess I consider myself "very out there" I'm Generally never bored I love to communicate , I can keep up with the conversation . Personally I love helping others I consider it a great opportunity to work for a place that's is devoted to taking care of the people in need especially elderly. I guess it's not much of a achievement but I am very proud of the fact that I achieved my high school diploma at a very young age and I was always the top of my class.

Those who provide home care to others need to be patient. Being patient means that the person understands that there may be changes in plans, things may not go as quickly as planned, and there may be a little hesitation at times on the part of the person receiving care. Compassion. When someone has compassion for another they have an understanding of what the person is going through. Attentiveness. It is important when providing home care that the caregiver is attentive to the needs and changes that are taking place. By being attentive, the caregiver, will notice when there are emotional or physical changes in the person he or she is caring for. Dependability. Those who need home care don't usually just need it sporadically. Rather it is on a regular basis, so it is imperative that a caregiver be dependable and show up to provide the care that the person needs and is counting on. Trustworthiness. Caregivers are often in a position that will allow them to have access to the belongings of the person they are caring for.

I decided to become a Caregiver because I take passion on caring for others. Specially those of whom are older than myself. What I like about being a Caregiver is the pleasure of helping others. Completing practical nursing school is a personal achievement that I am proud of. I am an outgoing, loving, caring, Caregiver who make helping other a priority in life.

Nursing is a lucrative career. There are always jobs available. I find caregiving very fulfilling, I love taking care of especially the elderly, they have such a wealth of knowledge. A past employer kept me on even when her husband passed because she was so pleased with my performance. I worked for her for five years. I am presently with my current employers for ten years. I am honest, loyal, patient and caring.
