Hello My name is Toniette Plummer. I am a Certified Nursing Assistant. I have over 20 years of Experience of taking care of the Elderly. I truly enjoy taking care of people and making sure they are safe and get the care they need.

I have been working in the healthcare field for over 15 years starting off as a certified nursing assistant. I am now a Registered Nurse that specializes in home health care , respite and overnight stays(in my home or yours). In my free time I enjoy walking to the beach and playing with my puppy Queenie, teaching CPR classes and providing tutoring for nurses attempting to take the NCLEX. What I like about being a Caregiver is the diversity of my clients, everyone has a different story and background. I love to listen about their lives, accomplishments, family and loved ones. It's like watching a Classic tale of another time and these stories become part of my life, parts not to be forgotten. I love to put not only my heart into my work, but my sensitivity, compassion, laughter,attentiveness and honest character as well. I have worked with some challenging cases like Alzheimer's, Cancer patient's, Stroke patient's and other types of illnesses. I am thankful for the opportunity to have worked with and known my patient's, not just as patient's, but we became friends as well, and I was there when they needed me. I have been a CNA/Home Health Aid for several years, currently my license is inactive, but I still retain all the skills necessary to perform an outstanding job for you. I love to be a Caregiver and am thankful The Lord allowed such experiences in my life. I have worked as a Caregiver for over 15 years. Went to college for LPN. I enjoy working to help & care for people, it is very satisfying to me, I feel it stems from growing up in a large family. I have three grown children & care for three of my Grandchildren full time & love every minute of it, they all are loving, kind, generous, & intelligent for their ages. Why did you become a Caregiver? My mother lost about 70% of her stomach from cancer and was in need of a Caregiver. I decided to quit my job at the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and become her full-time Caregiver. What do you like about being a Caregiver? Clients really appreciate the service I provide for them. What is a personal achievement you are proud of? Putting my personal needs and wants aside to take care of my mother during a time when she was at her lowest point (emotionally, physically, mentally & financially), due to cancer. Tell us something about yourself. -I have seven years of experience as an Elderly Caregiver (Dementia, Alzheimer's disease, Cancer, Hepatitis B & C, and other medical conditions). -I am Honest, friendly, and very compassionate with all my clients. I know how important it is to focus on helping my clients use the skills they currently possess and to be patient with any limitations they have. -I am a military wife, mom of 4 adult children, and 2 grandchildren. I'm also a part-time student at Florida State College of Jacksonville.

I became a caregiver because I've always enjoyed helping others and making them smile. I like being a caregiver because i love making other happy and being able to make a difference in their lives. I'm proud of going to school and graduating with my Patient Care Tech diploma. I'm very friendly, i love people and especially love being around elderly. I'm dependable and take pride in what I do.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I care about my clients I look at them more than a client ,I consider them family I do my job with passion I love taking care of people. I became a caregiver after I took care of my grandmother before she passed away. I am very caring and compassionate! I have a family member that passed away that had a caregiver that was awful to her and I wouldn't wish that on anyone so I would like to change that and try to do whatever I can to make you feel more comfortable!!
