I went into healthcare right out of high school and have been in the field since. I love providing care for all ages. Its my passion. I'm currently in school to continue my education in nursing. I volunteer at my local animal control. I am very passionate about animal care and protecting them from abuse. I current foster animals to get them ready for their furever home.

I am a very caring person, and treating patients as family. I love taking care of people that is not able to take care of themselves. Hi my name is Erin. Let me start by telling you why I got into this line of work to begin with. My dad is 60 yrs old now but in 2013 he was diagnosed with leukemia. He went through several rounds of chemo and then his bone marrow transplant. After a bone marrow transplant they give you medicine to keep you from rejecting the transplant. He was so sick and not getting any better. He began having siezures which lead the doctors to do more tests to find out why and when they did they found that he was allergic to the medicine and it had caused him to have several strokes. From there he went on to an acute care facility and to rehab but he was never the same. It left him paralyzed. While he was in and out if these facilities we saw so many things that were just wrong. Patients calling for nurses and the nurses never went to help. After that we took him home and mother and I learned to care for my father ourselves. After all that I decided I was going to go into home healthcare to care for people so that they didn't have to go to a nursing home because people deserve to be loved and cared for just like my father. This personal experience is what makes me a great caregiver.

I became an care giver at the age of 14 i have 5 sisters and 1 brother in the oldest so i always had to take care of them being a care giver but it really wasn't until my sick grandmother moved in with us she was bed bound nurses use to come to our home and help her with all her everyday living needs i would often help the nurses with the duties and when they weren't there i would take care of my grandmother. I like the fact that i can help someone that's unable to help them self while being compassionate and making them happy. an accomplishment im happy with is getting certified as a nursing assistant im already a pca, hha. im a very fun out going caring person i truly enjoy being a caregiver and when i get older an cant help myself i hope to have someone take as good care of me as i took of other people. My grandmother passed away but i no she would be very happy to see im still continuing working as a CAREGIVER.

Although this is my first time as a professional caregiver I know this is a great fit for me. I am single mother raising a handsome boy that was diagnosed with epilepsy at birth. since then I feel the need to help people all around me.Family or strangers. I'm a very compassionate and empathetic person. I am patient. I am reliable. I am trustworthy. What I enjoy most about caring for others is the ability to help when they need it the most.
