I took care of my father, in our home, for over 8 years before he passed away on Mother's day 2019. I managed his medication, cleaned the house, made his meals, washed his clothes, helped dress and gave him baths. I assisted him in walking and eating. I delt with insurance companies and doctors offices. I took him to and from the doctor. Changed bandages and just sat and talked to him. I now take care of my mother, in almost the same way. I love to help people and make them feel better in any way that I can. Taking the stress off the person and their families is a way, I feel like, I can make that happen. I have learned a lot (hands-on) and a personal achievement I'm proud of, is learning how to pull community resources to assist the families I help.

I love working with senior clients. I do everything from meal prep, bathing , grooming to medication reminders. Also taking clients to/from Dr's appointments or physical therapy. i had to watch my grandmother when i was young needing a caregiver. i know she could of gotten so much better help than what she got, so i became a cna while in highschool. i'm wanting to get more experience. i'm hoping to study to become a physical therapist soon. i've been in nursing homes & health centers !

It has truly been my calling. I like the satisfaction of knowing that i have helped someone in their time of need. Becoming a medical assistant has been one of my greatest accomplishments.
