I grew up going to work with my mother as she was a caregiver for the angel network. I learned the importance of patience, empathy and integrity. Caregiving is not always easy, if your caregiver doesn't appreciate this field; in my opinion your senior will not be properly Cared for. I enjoy finding a way to help my senior accomplish a task without making them feel like less of a person or embarrassed. Your loved one should always feel respected, heard, and safe. My approach to aggression, sadness, confusion, etc. is meeting your loved ones emotions and needs on their level. I quickly assess the problem and get back to a trusting common ground. Sometimes all they want Is their feelings acknowledged. This ensures they feel equal and helps keep their sense of dignity. A caretakers most important quality should be compassion and focus. When I walk through your door my phone is off and I'm ready for the day. I will treat your loved one as if she/he were my own family. I have been doing this for several years now and I've witnessed many different styles of care. Positive attitude is key. Keeping my calm helps your loved one to trust me. It's important to me they feel I am happy to be with them. Nobody wants to feel babysat. I pride myself on being able to care without the patient feeling embarrassed or overwhelmed. I try my best to help you feel safe leaving your loved one in my care. Open communication helps your family feel you've made the correct choice and helps me feel comfortable doing my job. I chose caregiving because I love helping people. It is very rewarding even on the difficult days. I never lose my cool. This is important to avoid escalating the issue and causing frustration or anxiety for your loved one. Its rewarding to give you peace of mind. It is more than just a job for me. It is privilege and opportunity to make difference. My certifications and references are seller.

I cared for a family who lived by me; they had 5 children, and when I began, they were all 5 years or younger. I built wonderful relationships with all of them and still keep in touch today: however, the mother is a teacher and does not require a summer babysitter. I also nannied all summer for two beautiful 7-year-old twin girls Monday through Friday. I'm a CNA and have been for a year. I love helping people and I am good at adapting to each persons needs. Also, I am not one to be conceited, but I am confident that I am very good at what I do.

I am a caregiver because i believe it is a duty to give back to the elderly because if there was no them there would be no us. I also believe in giving care to those who are learning to live with mental or physical Disabilities for they may walk, talk, or think differently they love the same as anyone else i have learned that you can always be taught by someone else no matter their challenges. I love to know i have brought happiness and comfort to people, that is what im most proud of is to see that i made someone smile or laugh or gave that shoulder or wiped that tear im proud of being that support system and im proud to make a difference. I dont only provide care i provide a friendship for thosevi help and their families. I have had many years of taking care of different types of people and each one was special in everyway and i have learned something from each one of them and will carry those things with me forever, and hope to come across many more people so we can make a differences in eachothers lives. I am very compassionate with my patients, and the ones I care for. I became a caregiver because I helped my grandparents throughout their time here with me and fell in love with it. I have a big heart and lots of love to give. I like to give my patients a purpose and show them that they matter. I take each one I care for as if they were my own family.
