I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant for 24 years . I started as a DSP in 1996 then I went on to school to be a Certified Nursing Assistant. I work @ Memorial Hospital then I went on to work in long term facilities, Rehab, private duty, Respite care. I enjoy working with ppl especially the elderly. I enjoy listening to their stories and their past. I am a caring person and loving as well. I am dependable too.

I'm very compassionate when it comes to taking care of my patient's and I'm an excellent listener. I have been in the health career for fifteen years and I'm currently in the nursing program at Richland Community College to become an RN. I would like to help someone in there home that needs help with activities of daily living because I feel it's important to manage care at home, where they feel the most comfortable. I enjoy the compassion it takes to be a good caregiver and I enjoy helping others. My personal achievement that I'm proud of is I continue to love the nursing field and I love the opportunity to be able to grow and learn different areas of nursing and home care is one that I feel I will enjoy as well.

I became a caregiver about 4 years ago I absolutely enjoy working with the elderly and love being there for them physically mentally and emotionally I have a very loving vibe and also very caring I'm very outgoing and easy going I love to talk with the elderly people and see how there life was growing up and just being there for someone for them to talk to so they won't feel alone. Although every day can be different and challenging in many ways I learned how to cope with certain things as I've grown over the years in the healthcare field. I specialize according to my academic and professional background with handling individuals that suffer from either a mental/physical illness/disability more specifically, psychology related field. I have experience both professional and personal helping those that may be in need of services related to caregiving. I am very hardworking, compassionate and a real team player when it comes to giving and treating others how I would like to be treated if I was in their place. I worked in a alzethmeizers unit as a dietary aide and I was very blown away with the individuals I was servicing, due to the huge compassion behind mental illness and offering services to those that are in need. What I enjoy the most about caregiving is conversation, there is a great deal of knowledge to be learned from our older population and the fat that there's a job that pairs the two together, ultimately completes my goals of wanting to get back into working as a caregiver.

I became a caregiver to help persons that need a little extra help in their lives. I enjoy working with people and it gives me satisfaction that I can be there when someone needs help. I have always loved helping the elderly or disabled and it puts a smile on my face when they want to help you do a little chore. And I can be there when no one else can be to make sure they are safe and cared for. I believe this has always been in my blood helping people I started as a candy striper at the age of 13 and have been in this field for more than 20 years. Yes, I had stepped away from it but I keep coming back to the one thing I really enjoyed and that was putting a smile on those faces even for a minute.
