I became a caregiver because of my parents in need of care...During a 36+year period I have worked as a caregiver/home-care aide also assisted caring for my parents until they departed. I was taught to honor thy mother/ father and respect others at a young age... I have completed and passed a C.N.A. course 19+years ago and have worked in nursing homes,skilled facilities and rehab centers as a rehab assistant for quite sometime now...What I do in making a difference in helping others has always been a joyous experience. I hope I can be an assistant to you. If not I hope you find the help and support that's needed for you and or your family.

I became a Nursing Assistant when my grandfather was diagnosed with Cancer it was hard on my grandmother, but once I stepped in with bathing, helping with light housekeeping around the house or just letting my grandmother get out for an hour or two her load was lightened it was a blessing. I felt giving back to my grandfather for all the love and support he has given me all the years was truly from the heart, he later passed away within three months then my grandmother was diagnosed with Cancer and I stepped in for her with just myself and my little children and again it was a blessing but challenging at same time but God gave me strength through my trail and made me strong.If i can give that to everyone I come in contact with am complete because it's from the heart helping someone with a bath, dressing them for the day, of just having a conversation means a lot to so many.. I love what I do and can give another individual

i am a happy person and always willing to help, what attracted me to be a care giver my mom has Alzheimer's for about 17 years and i took care of her and my boyfriend had multiple sclerosis took care of him for 6 years until passed away . i enjoy seeing a smile on my clients face in spite of their illness. my personal achievement is buying my home and help feeding the homeless.

I have always wanted to major in the medical field, I started working towards my degree in nursing, and I got a job as a CNA. Working with the elderly has been great, it has given me more Patience than I already had. being able to care for someone that can be my grandmother or any family member brings great satisfaction. of course my 87 year old grandmother with early obset Alzheiner's, still lives at home. it is my heart pleasure to see the elderly be safe and happy in their own home with proper care.

I do have a personal connection with being a caregiver, I took care of my grandfather who was battling Parkinson's disease. I took care of him in his final days here on earth and made him as comfortable as possible. I miss him very much. Besides being a caregiver, I enjoy spending time with my family and especially my 5 year old son. He is the most important person to me. If I'm not spending time with family I'm in school part time pursuing my nursing degree.

After 5 years of going to Physical and Occupational therapies 3 times a week with him, learning the exercises, then assisting him with these exercises in his home.he is no longer wheel chair bound, he walks 2 miles a day , he drive his vehicle, he's continues exercising in a gym, and he's no longer depress about his ability but encourage others living with a disability.
