Hey I'm sharmain family call me Tootie. I'm 34 years old. I've been in the CNA field since 2008. Soon as I graduated high school I got my Medical Assistant Diploma and been in the field since. I've stepped a way to find other careers I like as I'm doing hair cooking and working with electronics. I'm not much of a talker but when I do I can make a full room laugh I love to be goofy I do have 3 boys witch my oldest two days ago walked into adult hood. I love sports and love to cook and do art work.

I am a free spirited person who just loves to be happy and be surrounded by positivity and happiness. I genuinely love taking care of people and seeing them transition from a difficult situation to a better and manageable one. My name is Mercury, I took care of my parents when I was 16, for 10 year , they were both stroked, that experience helped me become a great caregiver. I have been taking care of seniors since 2012, started with 1 quadraplegic, 3 dementia, 1 amputated, and companionship, Assistance. And so on. I used to be a flight attendant so I know how to react when it comes to an emergency, I am a Christian and I go to church 2 times a week. I am a single mother and I like helping. I am from Lawrence, KS but currently followed my husband to Seattle for the summer for his architecture internship. I am looking for a part-time or full-time caregiver position during the weekdays. The first time I began to consider the nursing field as a future career choice was in 2004. I was 8 years old when I swam with my aunt Rose in their private pool and she had a seizure. I was able to recall basic knowledge about seizures taught from my two aunts who were nurses. I set a spoon inside of a towel and placed it in her mouth. I then yelled to her son, my cousin, "Call 911!" At that moment I was performing a cardiopulmonary resuscitation. It was the longest five minutes I have dealt with; it felt like an eternity. From that day onward, I wanted to make a difference by helping people to the best of my abilities. I am thankful that my other two aunts were nurses, and that they had taught me some basic medical knowledge which I was able to use to save my Aunt's life. I was born and raised in the Philippines and had moved to the United States on October 4th, 2009 to be with my mother and grandmother. Growing up, my family members would always describe me as a person that tries their best in everything they do, whether it is school, family, or my job. No matter how hard the obstacles are, I aim for success. I supported myself financially after high school with daily needs and college school expenses by working full time and signing up for extra shifts. In March 2014 to March 3, 2016, I worked 16 hour shifts, 2 days in a row every weekend at Garden Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. When I did not have classes in the morning, on the weekdays I would work 8 hour shifts in the afternoon or night and vice versa if I had school in the afternoon. In doing so, I was able to pay for my car, insurance, necessities, school, and help my grandmother. I love helping other help other individuals medically, emotionally, and spiritually by providing the best patient care with all of my heart.

I am loving and truly care about the well being of others. I like having the opportunity to make an impact in the lives of others. I am proud to have finished my Associates degree while playing competitive tennis in Kansas City. I am a small town pastors daughter that enjoys helping others.

I enjoy helping people and my job is very rewarding. I consider myself to be a very compassionate person. I have eight years of CNA/HHA experience working in a variety of clinical settings. I hope to one day become a nurse practicioner and am currently finishing up a degree in Health Sciences. I enjoy learning about different diseases processes and the treatments available. I love to help people that need help and make sure they get the proper care. I became a caregiver because i have been helping my father with his diabetes and heart problems for the last 6 years.
